  • [Question] The must do's and dont's of dlrp?

Ok. im off to disney land paris soon and i was wondering what the best rides in the 2 of the parks are. I enjoy large fast rides, i also like shows and dark rides.

Can you please reply, any answer or opinion is extremely appreciated I look forward to hearing your opinions.

    Thanks.

My favourites from Walt Disney Studios:

    Tower Of Terror
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (personal favourite!)
    Cinemagique

    My favourites from Disneyland Park:

    Pirates Of The Caribbean
Phantom Manor (although it's closed at the moment)
    Big Thunder Mountain

Disneyland Park also has many walkthroughs and immersively themed areas to explore. Walt Disney Studios doesn't have as much theming but the attractions themselves are generally of a good quality.

Depends on your experience - is this your first Disney park? Or your first time at DLP but have been to others.

      WDS:

      Tower of Terror
      Cinemagique
      Moteurs Action
      Rock n Roller Coaster

      DLP:

      Phantom Manor
      Big Thunder
      Pirates of the Caribbean
Le Chateau de le Belle au Bois Dormant including the dragon's lair
      It's a Small World
      Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
      Space Mountain
      Star Tours

You could easily do the entire studios in a day (depending on the day) and I would recommend seeing it all.
          WDW - 1987 & 1991
          DLP - 1996, 2004, 2006 & 2007
          DLR - October 2011

Yes, most likely. I made all of my visits in the summer, and it was busy for all, though crowds were definitely manageable. Just get their first thing in the morning and take advantage of Fastpass, and you should have little trouble getting on all the headliners (in both parks). Are you getting a one-day park hopper?

Hmm, I'm surprised no one mentioned Crush. That was by far the biggest surprise in the entire resort! Space Mountain seems to have gotten a bit rough (especially when compared to RnR) and the new themeing was less impressive. Thunder Mountain and Phantom Manor are definitely highlights, and noticably different from their US counterparts.

Might i add. It isnt in school holidays. So would that effect it in any way?

If not do you know what sort of queues to expect?

+ thanks for all the replys very appreciated.

You mean school is still in session? Most French schools get out for the summer in very early July, for reference.

I made my most recent trip on June 30th - there were plenty of kids there, holiday or not. We where there at the opening, caught the rope drop to Frontierland, still had a 30 minute wait for Thunder Mountain. Most waits were manageable, between 20-40 mins, both in Disneyland and over at the Studios.

Ah ok thats not too bad. I thought you were going to say like 90 mins aha

Im in disney land from the 29th june to the 1st of july. So I hope its not too busy.

                    Thanks for your help.

+ do the fastpasses run out quickly? Because i went before and they were available all day.

Re: The must do's and dont's of dlrp?

Well, most, not all. There were long wait times, but we either caught it early, used fastpass, or avoided it all together. For some unbelievable reason, Indiana Jones was way over an hour early in the day (I blame the 4th movie), Thunder Mountain peaked at about 80 minutes, and Crush was 45-60 minutes.

It will definitely be busy, but "too busy" depends on your preferences. I always get to DL and WDW in the states in the low season, but the visit to DLP was just a side trip from Paris for the day. For my experience it was very crowded, but I usually go out of my way to avoid peak season.

Fastpass availability depends on crowds, capacity, and popularity. No fastpasses for Crush. Most all the other headliners have them. The only ones we saw run out early in the day were for Tower of Terror and Peter Pan.
