  • [Pictures] Helicopter Views

These are a couple years old, but I always appreciate aerial close-ups of theme parks...

Why is there (what appears to be) theming on the back of the Main Street buildings?

We were sent over there with the message that only we would defend Disney quality.. We learnt quickly that the Japanese culture speaks to a level of quality that is hard to comprehend. They were all unbelievably skilled and willing to do the right thing.

Good eyes! You can barely read "Remington Mechanics" painted on the brickwork. Didn't notice that. I've put the question to Eddie Sotto, the land's designer, and will let you know when I hear back from him.

My only guess would be that when Main Street Motors actually sold vintage cars, this is where they were kept or test driven.

              Re: Helicopter Views

I would guess that there is themeing on the back of some buildings as they might be viewable from other areas and so as to not spoil the illusion.

                  Re: Helicopter Views

But surely any view of the back of these buildings would only be possible from Frontierland, and then this theming wouldn't fit?

OMG its makes the place look like movie set. The back of Main Street is very well hidden.

I'm thinking maybe it's possible from the hotel?
