  • Crush's Turtle Twister

Hey a bit back there was some art posted online, it was the layout for WDS' Turtle Twister. I saved it, but my computer died and basically I am on a new one...but my old collections are gone...and as I try to rebuild them I've found that the places I knew to find the layout have pulled them...anyone know of any places it is still online?

Hope you enjoyed the picture show. These pictures appeared in a MiceAge
Paris Resort article at one time. I copied them, but forget specifically where they came from.

Turtle Twister looks like fun. The thing that I am curious about is the Cars attraction. What exactly is it suppose to be?

It looks sort of like a souped of version of the Teacups. The name as of now (probably will change though) is Cars: Radiator Springs Spinout. It is supposed to be themed from a desert scene between Lightning McQueen and some older cars on Route 66.

Turtle Twister is a cross between a madmouse and a "dry for wet" dark ride. It is highly rumored to replace Mulholland Madness at DCA in the future. Yay!!!

Yeah. The Cars attraction (pictures featured right below Turtle Twister, above) will utilixe the same trackless, computer controlled system used in DisneySea's Aquatopia, and Tokyo Disneyland's Pooh's Honey Hunt.

Just looked it up on RCDB (Roller Coaster DataBase) and it said it looks to be a Maurer Söhne Xtended XC 2000 (Spider in Utah) with additional track before the lift. Still looks like a fun ride though.

Thanks for those, I was looking for the CAD Blueprint but those are nice too.

Yes the ride is supposed to be a Mauher-Sohner that leaves the station, goes outside, enters a short dark ride portion and then goes up the silent lift (through the subs with Bruce) and into the coaster part.
Radiator Springs Spinout is just like the Whirpool at TDS and I believe Lady Bug Boogie too.

Actually, these Maurer coasters are originally fairground rides, from Germany, and they are great fun to ride!
