I never noticed it before, but you can really tell this was done by the same people who did the WDS (and if it wasn't then these people sure have some backward idea of what's a good example). The ornament-less steel grating, the use of 2d images as marquees... Not to mention the plywood aliens stuck all over. Can't say I'm thrilled about the whole thing.

It's not that I don't appreciate the zealous labour it must have taken to create an entrance not only reminiscent of space but actually visible from space... It's just that I never once looked at the Visionarium building and thought "hmmm, needs more neon. A thousand yards of neon in every colour they can produce it should spruce this place right up".

It was a nice try all in all, but it doesn't take a cast member from ***** Eye to see that they've overdone it slightly.

Wow is that bright you got to wear shades just to view the building. It looks like a 80's Day-Glow nightmare.

Le Visionarium (a.k.a The Timekeeper (From Time to Time) was a specially developed Circle Vision film for Disneyland Paris that used CGI Effects and Audio Animatronics to discover visions of the future with two timetravelling robots with Jules Verne. Better explained on this article, which I helped to write. The show played at Tokyo Disneyland and Walt Disney World, was planned for WESTCOT and Tomorrowland 2055 at different times.

Maybe I am dissenting here but I don't find it that bad. Kill the Buzz statue and those Green Alien props and it looks rather acceptable. The tone of the green mixed with the use of black and red makes it seem like they tok the feel of Discoveryland very much to heart (...or tried...) and I say it seems to fit into it's surroundings much better than photos of other Buzz's make them seem (like California's green just doesn't seem to mix the blue/silver).
But uh...:mob: don't come after me for saying that...

              :mob:

And hey be happy your Timekeeper was replaced with something that still attempts to be space and or future. I mean Monsters Inc?? Blah!

Completely disregarded the theme of Discoveryland. I know Buzz Lightyear for a start isnt Discoveryland material, but the facade didnt have to be so Tomorrowlandish. We will look back at this point in history as the first point of the re-themeing of Discoveryland. I know that sounds slightly melodramatic but its true.

No actually as I lately have been doing alot of going back to what is now the Late-New Tomorrowland of 1994, and seeing how Alien Encounter's closing is pretty much the death of that era I can see where you are coming from.
