The talking heads do look awesome.

Rumour a month or so (if not longer) ago was that the next talking head would be Timon for use in the Legend of the Lion King show at Animal Kingdom. If that is the case it could easily come over to Paris as well.

They should do it as a promotion straight after the 15th has finished, bring over the talking heads and the Muppet Mobile Labs and Lucky and have Disneyland Paris "Live the Magic" or something like that to play on the fact that these new attractions have more life in them.

I heard that the 15th Anniversary celebrations were being extended another year (ala Year of a Million Dreams at WDW).
I don't think that these talking heads and Bunsen and Beaker are marketable enough to attact extra business to more than a hand-full of people. Personally, I can't wait to see them in the flesh but suspect that they will be quietly introduced as in WDW.

I thought it was kind of scary, actually. There's something really unnatural about that mouth movement...

Hmmm... something unnatural about the mouth movement..... OF A SIX FOOT MOUSE?!

I see what you mean though but this is real progress. Soon we will be looking back on our current costumes like we now look at that footage of the characters at the premiere of Snow White or the opening of DL.

Although Mickey, Minnie and Goofy look the same, I think the re-design on Donald's face is a real improvement.

This is at DLP? I skipped the show when I was there last week as I've seen it a few times before. I would have gone had I known of this. Timon did not have a talking head last year - when did the switch occur?

As far as I know, Timon always had a talking head, and I was there at the show premiere. You probably came a day when talking head was turned off.
I thinks Mickey and the gang look great like that, I just need to get used to it.

Hmm, I saw it in 2005 and either:

                  a) I just didn't notice
                  b) I was sitting too far away to notice (WAYYYYY at the back)
                  c) It was turned off

Whichever of the 3, it didn't register. So why are they talking about "making" one for Lion King at Animal Kingdom as a next experiment if one already exists???

Rafiki in the MK's Legend of the Lion King show had a talking head too.

Well Ollie, I was about to argue until I was blue in the face that this is brand new technology. But.... then I checked the video footage that I had taken of the Legend of the Lion King show in March 2006. And Timon does have an animated head! It just never registered with me. Weird. It makes sense that he is animated when the show also features AAs of Simba, Pumbaa and Zazu but I never really thought about it until now. Hopefully these new Mickey and Co characters will mean that soon all of the charcaters will go this way.
