  • hey! im new and have a few questions about DLP

hey guys im off to DLP in november, the first week of the christmas stuff. been to the parks before but it was a few years ago so i wondered if anyone could help me out with these thanks

    1. UKer's have any of you flown to paris from the uk coz our plane looks really small and im a bit nervous!!!

    2. does anyone know if the disney bricks(the ones you get personalised on the walk into the park) are still on sale and if i can order one before i go

    3. if the DLP hopper passes are the same as the US whereby you can switch between both parks on one day without using an extra day on your pass? i have a 3 day hopper.

    thanks guys xx

    Hi Linz

    1) What airline were you flying with. I wouldn't worry about the flying anyway as I travel often using these kind of planes and have never encountered any situation where I have felt the need to worry about my safety. Please don't worry.

    2) Not to sure if there are still for sale.

    3) The passport works exactly the same as it would in the States. Will you be staying onsite?

Feel free to ask anymore questions and hope you have a good trip.

You can not interchange tickets from the USA to any of the other parks. I don't think you can even change WDW tickets for DLR ones...

Also, If I am not mistaken, the bricks are no longer on sale. The last time I went to DLP a few months ago, I do not recall seeing the selling booth. They are no longer on sale at WDW either, and at TDL, the ones they sold 10 yrs ago, were removed permanently 5 yrs ago.

As for the plane you are flying... what kind is it? B737? A320/19/18? Embraier? Bombardier? I hate to tell you but no matter what the size of the plane..big or small, they all come down crashing when the conditions call for it. That's the way it is.

I concur! Don't worry about the size of the plane. I flew to Charles De Gaulle with Air Wales once. I think they'd borrowed the plane from the opening scenes of Temple Of Doom, but it got us there in one piece!

Who are you flying with and where are you flying from?

The bricks are no longer on sale, been a year or two now.

                thanks people hehe!

i mean the plane only holds like 50 people and im a little worried it will be clastrophobic(sp?)!!!!! going with flybe from birmingham

yes im staying on site at the cheyanne. my tickets are for DLP of course, just meant do the hopper tickets work so that you can go in both DLP and DLS on the same day.

                thanks for the help

wish the bricks were still onsale, really wanted to get one for my mum.

                anyone else going for christmas?

Re: hey! im new and have a few questions about DLP

Well there are 3 types of plane that fly the BHX - CDG route, either a BAE 146, an Embraer 190 or a De Havilland DHC 8 prop plane.
All modern planes with good reputatiuons, you'll be fine.

Re: hey! im new and have a few questions about DLP

I used Flybe just last month to fly from Guernsey to London. And have always traveled by them, they are a decent airline, and you have nothing to worry about. If you want to worry about anything than chances are your more likely to be killed in the car journey to the Airport than the flight itself.

If your staying at the cheyanne Hotel your park tickets will be valid from the start of your stay to the very end at both parks. Its all included in the package plus free continetal breakfast each morning, and tip is to take the early seating, as its least crowded and will give you ample time to get to the parks.

hey, thanks for more responses but i dont think im explaining myself very well. last time i was there we had 2 day tickets, it was when studios had just open and there wasnt much going on, we tried to get into DL but couldmt.

basically i mean if i started the day in one park could i then switch to the other park? like can i go in between as many times as i want?

Your park tickets are included in your stay at the Chyanne. The park tickets are park hopper tickets which allow you access to both parks for the entire trip. Did you stay at a Disney hotel last time and did you buy the tickets at the gate. As the park hopping are not included in the price if you just buy the tickets separate.

yea i stayed there last time and tickets were included but it was through a coach company so maybe that was it, or maybe they hadnt started using hopper tickets yet as the the park was only just opened.

If you buy the tickets seperate the website states you will have access two both parks during the three days. http://offers.disneylandparis.co.uk/...r-ticket.xhtml

But your tickets should be included in your hotel package and will give you unlimited access. I personally have never had a ticket where I could only visit one park on one single day. So mayber back than it was a differnt ticket policy to what it is now.

Since you are staying in a Disney hotel, your included passes will allow you to flit between both parks as often as you like on the same day. Sometimes they stamp your hand, sometimes they don't - it doesn't matter either way, the tickets let the turnstiles know you are 'hopping'.
                              Enjoy!

                                cool

i just thought of another q, hehe.

my flight gets in just before 2pm, so obviously i want to head straight for the park, im just wondering what my best option will be at the moment its go to hotel, pick up tickets, drop off bags and go but this sounds a little time consuming to me.

just wondering what other people in this situation have done, im not sure if there is a luggage drop off thing at the disney village??

                                thanks people

Your unlikely to recieve your park tickets until you check in. No drop of area as far as I'm aware. Your best bet is to get coach to Disney than check in and after that than head over to the parks.

Keep in mind, if you arrive at CDG at 2pm, assuming you are ontime, it will probably be 4pm by the time you get to DLP. It may be a waste of your time to spend a day of your ticket if the parks close early in the day... so check for closing times first.

Yeah, your park passes will be presented to you upon check-in and so you will be able to dump your luggage in your room before scurrying to the parks.
As for amount of time from landing to arriving at the resort, 2 hours seems fair enough. The check-in at the hotel can sometimes be time consuming depending upon how busy it is and if the parks are closing at 6pm on your arrival day, I would suggest not panicking and taking your time. The Village and hotel will offer enough entertainment and interest for your first night and allow you to get ready for a full first day proer.
