  • DLRP Character Queries

Hello *waves* I'm new to the boards and am hoping to go to DLRP at the end of next week...

I was just wondering what sort of characters they have roaming and meeting/greeting the guests? Obviously there will likely be Mickey and Minnie, but do they have any sort of characters from films like Peter Pan or Alice in Wonderland, or is that more just the American parks? What are the common characters whom are about? And where do most of the characters lurk?

Any help would be much appreciated =)

I saw Pluto a lot and Friar Tuck. Everything else was a blur. LOL!

I found that at DLRP there was a greater variety of characters (at least there was the last time I visited a year ago)

There seemed to be more of an emphasis on characters based on European stories - you're much more likely to meet Robin Hood, Frollo, Stromboli or Alice at DLRP than you are at the US parks.

Character times vary because of the season, be sure to request a programme(Not park map) upon arrival, which will have all character times listed. If your staying in one of the parks official hotels you should find a progamme in your welcome package.

Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Scooge Mcduck can all be found on the front lot of the studios. Mickey, Remy and Emile will be found at the back of Toon Studios. Sulley does meet and greets next to the scream machines. Also expect to find Goofy, Pluto, Chicken Little and Chip & Dale out meeting guest too.

Over at Disneyland Park Minnie will be located at Town Square, while Mickey near Casey's Corner. A number of other characters will be found posing on Main Street, including Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Chipmunks, Timon, Robin Hood,Cinderella and Pinochio characters.
Winnie the Pooh and the Disney Princesses can usually be found at the Le Theatre du Chateau during the day. Also if your lucky you may meet Jack Sparrow in Adventureland as well as characters from Aladdin and the Jungle Book. While I believe Woody and Jessie now have a pernamite greeting area in Frontierland.

Other tips to find the characters is to book a meal at Cafe Mickey and catch each performance of the Disney Character Express, which stops at the Central Plaza. I've seen a large number of characters on that that you won't find else where in the park including Prince John, Tigger, Captain Hook, King Louie, Stitch, Claurice and Buzz. Each performance is differnt and will feature new characters. Below are a few of the characters I spotted ...

Never hurts to check with Guest Relations for that info on the day of your visit.

We saw Alice and the White Rabbit hanging around the maze/oversize chair; and we saw Peter Pan and Wendy both by the Peter Pan Ride and also on the Ship at Skull Rock.
