  • [Question] Pictures of the new French Market food?

The new French Market menu debate...er, thread...got locked, and before it did, someone posted a picture of one of the entrees. I was wondering if anyone else has had a chance to eat the food/take a picture. I'd like to see what all the complaining is about. Thanks!

They change the good stuff for that bad stuff. Well they lost me from ever going back to that place.

PLEASE: let's not get this thread closed, as well. My opinions are clearly stated in the original thread. Go there if you want to know how I feel as regards to the whole "debate" issue.

And aye, that is the meal I posted a picture of in the other thread. In fact, here's the one I took with my digital camera:

I really don't think it looks that bad. I try not to base food on how it looks in a picture. Cause to me, a lot of my favorite foods look disgusting in pictures (sushi for example). I'll have to try to swing by there sometime and try it.

Yes- Seafood and Chicken Jambalaya, to be exact. It was VERY tasty! Lots of crawfish, shrimp, andouille sausage, chicken and various veggies to be had in it. And, it's just a little spicy, not too much so.

I ate there on Sunday. Sorry I didn't take a picture.

My friend and I both order the Roast Beef Royale, which was FABULOUS!
It is thin sliced beef in a port, peppercorn sauce, came with smashed potatoes (really creamy with, I think, some kind of cheese mixed in), vegetables, and cheddar cheese corn bread.

We cleaned our plates, and believe me, that was no easy feat!

The funny thing is, we had gone there expressly to have that roast beef sandwich with the fries, and were surprised that it was no longer served. We knew the restaurant had been closed for "refurbishment", but we didn't know that the menu was being changed.

With that said, we were both sublimely happy with the food we got, and never once complained about what we didn't have.

That looks good and I'm not a fan of jambalaya... looking forward to trying it next weekend.

Do they still display the food plates, someone had mentioned in the other thread that they did not have them up at the time. The pic posted looks extremely good.

Please do not misunderstand, here is the menu as posted by Master Gracey (I photoshopped the 2 photos into one to make it a complete menu) I am posting it because it has both the descriptions and the price, so individuals can decide with both head and wallet. If someone would be so kind as to post a picture of each entree, we could easily photoshop the price/description next to it. Again this is not to debate the prices, this is to display them along with the description and hopefully, eventually, a picture of the entree as well.
