  • News In Disneyland on the 4th

    Doesnt seem any busier than a summer weekend. With only five turnstiles open at 1:45, the lines were only back to barely the monorails. The ticket booths had no lines, and the parking structure still had two empty levels. They were giving preview rides on the red monorails earlier, and I got to go for a loop around on it. It looks as if they have put it away, bacause only the old one is running now. All in all not a very busy day yet.

    I was waiting for a thread like this! I loved reading the New Years Day one

    There I was somewhere West of Tomorrowland
    Flying through the stars just like
    Peter Pan
    I said...Dang this looks too good to be true...

    It's a nice day when you wake up in
    Disneyland...

        ... I was supposed to be there with my friend this weekend but he couldn't get the time off, so we'll be there for the 17th. But I do wish I was there to see the fireworks tonight. Oh well it'll be on Youtube by tomorrow!

            Orlando Attractions Magazine has a video of the show in Florida, which I believe is exactly the same;

                I think they meant its not the same as actually being there in person and experiencing them live.

                  Well,

                  I was waiting for a thread to say how the crowds were. Sounds like today is a go! About to head down - will update the thread if possible!

                    Well, seeing how it's been cycling already without guests, i'm sure unless announced it's the same line...Not to many people even know that there is a new monorail..

                    but the same = long. as usual.

                      Its still the same. I just got a fastpass for space mountain with a 7:15 return time. I'm in line for house of the future. The building is rotating?

                      Data:

                      The new monorails is nice inside. There is A/C inside. The inside lighting is really nice. I took a couple of pics, but no way to upload them. I asked to ride up front but they said the front is closed because the A/C isn't working.

                              I guess DL is starting to see the affects of the lagging economy.... I guess even locals are choosing to stay home rather than visit the parks.
