  • [Question] Maliboomer

Any word yet on when the Maliboomer will be removed from the Disney Skyline? Just wondering if I should ride it on my next trip since I probably will not be back until Halloween.

No word yet, but I'd ride it sooner rather than later if you wish to ride.

It'll be there for the rest of 2008 definitely.

When it is removed, will Maliboomer rank 3rd behind Superstar Limo and Rocket Rods as the shortest lived Disney attractions?

Absolutley not. Maliboomer would have been there for 8 years when it gets removed. The Phantom boats (I think that is what they were called) in TOmorrowland were only there for a year, lots of others too.

Definitely not. It will of lasted at least 8 years.

I guess I was only considering attractions eliminated in my lifetime.

You've got that right in my book. I love that ride, too bad Disney can't think of some sort of way to make it actually belong in the new pier...

I'm glad it's going. Too scared to ride it, & it's ugly as hell.

I hate heights and I cringe when I go on the Maliboomer. Yet I love ToT and will not think twice about riding it over and over and over and over again. Strange I guess. I will not be sad to see it leave either.

Maliboomer is arguably one of the most fun attractions in the park, but it's an eyesore and doesn't belong in a Disney park unless it's themed to the max. I hope the rumor of a parachute tower in Maliboomer's spot is true, it would fit well in the area and could be given a victorian theme easily, IMO.

You really need to pony up and ride it. It's great fun and is something you should at least ride once. The only thing really scary about it is the anticipation.
