Pretty bored at home and missing Disneyland but tell me what are the best food price deals and best tasting food at Disneyland and California Adventure. It could help those planning 2 go to pick the good foods and not the bad ones.

Blue Bayou is amazing but a little pricy. I really like Cafe Orleans. They have the most amazing garlic fries called pomme frites. They also serve the best beignets I have ever tasted. They are shaped as Mickey heads and are served warm and fresh from the oven with 2 types of dipping sauces. They are the best desserts in the park (in my opinion). California Adventure had the Vineyard Room but that is going to be closing.Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally

Re: Best Food Deals
IN DCA, i love the Taste Pilots Grill, for the big portions. I can split the Chicken Sandwitch with someone and be fine. In DL, Rancho Del Zocalo has very big portions to share. If you aren't going with someone, A Good money saving tip is to bring a Waterbottle and fill it up throughout the day. It can you save you $15 easy if you use it thorughout the day. Redd Rocket's Pizza Port has fairly cheap prices for single meals, Including very tasty salads.
Hope this helps!Angels Fan, born and raised.

One of my favorite low cost options, the Wetzel Combo in Downtown Disney.
You can get a Hot Dog wrapped in pretzel dough and a drink for under $6, even less if you have an AP.
I don't recommend anything in the parks as a good deal.
Whitewater Snack in the Grand Californian Hotel is good, a kids meal is available at a decent price, and is a regular place for MiceChatters.
Otherwise, out of the park on Harbor, Mimi's is the best "coffee" shop restaurant near HoJo's.
McDonalds and Quiznos are also near the Disneyland Pedestrian Entrance.Check out my Theme Park Photos at http://darkbeer.smugmug.com

Bengal BBQ is awesome for a group of people because you can get one of everything and share! I also love all those fruit carts, they're really fresh and the pickles they have there are also yummy. Blue Bayou is a must but definitely not the best 'deal'. I also like the Napoli pizza in DTD. A slice of pizza is fairly cheap there.Curiouser and curiouser...

Re: Best Food Deals
Drinking fountains are free and plentiful at both parks.
Other than that, there are no deals in the parks. I like to have lunch at Hungry Bear at Disneyland because the fried-chicken sandwich is decent and the view is great.

You can also get free cups of ice at most restaurants, then you fill them up with water yourself. That's always nice if you like your liquid refreshments cold like I do.
Also, if it's someone in your groups birthday, go to the tortilla factory and get a gratis (free) bag of tortillas. They fill you up and they're warm and delicious.

Re: Best Food Deals
Plaza Inn, fried chicken, and use your AAA card !
If you ask for all drumsticks, they gave me about 6 !!!!
I had a huge mound of mashed potatoes and gravy. I could not finish it all. I think that one dinner would have been enough for two people.
The whole thing came to under $8.00. This was back in December, I don't if they've raised their prices since then.2007 Photos:

Re: Best Food Deals
Pizza Port in Tomorrowland has some really good, fresh pasta dishes, pizza, and yummy salads. Not cheap, but the portions are really generous and enough for 2 people to share, or bring it with you to snack on later. My husband got some blackended chicken cajun thing last time and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was.Counting the minutes to our next trip!

I like the turkey club at various places in the park. Normally I do not like pre-made cold sandwiches, but I've never had a bad one. In fact, I quite enjoy them. Bacon aside, they're fairly healthy and quite tasty and a good break from yet another burger.

Re: Best Food Deals
Two "values," within the context of Disneyland, of course:
1. I think one of the best deals is actually the corndog from the cart at the end of Main Street in DL or Corndog Castle in DCA. For under $6 you get a HUGE corndog (not normal sized) and a bag of apple slices (or chips). I have never had one and not felt stuffed!
2. Fresh made ice cream cookie sandwich at the ice cream station next to the lockers off Main Street in DL. For $4.99 you get two giant "home-made" Nestle Toll House chocolate cookies with a large scoop of ice cream in between. Compared to $3-4 for a pre-made frozen treat or cost of $2 you often find for a cookie, this is a deal.....and another case where I never have one without feeling STUFFED. Plus you get to pick your ice cream flavor!
