  • [Pictures] Old ISAW Wall in Toontown??

In another thread I saw that there was a wall in the backdrop of toontown right by the entryway that was decorated in the Small World style. Later apparently, it was panted green to match Toontown. Are there more pictures or more info on this subject that someone could share??

    Thanks!

Data? Little help since you are doing Disneyland in 3D??

Are there any other more detailed pictures of it before and why it was painted over?

Found this online, not my pic. It's from '99.

Not sure why it got painted over though. I'd guess it was cheaper to just paint over it, but maybe they were actually concerned about preserving thematic unity.

Huh, I didn't know it originally had an IASW look, but that does make sense, since they're fixed to the top of the IASW show building.

I would think when they abandoned the pastel color scheme they felt there was no point to paint it white like the current facade.

I wonder why they even had that in the first place?? Plus those pastels still look cool!

Cover up the top of the show building, like I said. Especially for guests who're further west in Tomorrowland.

That was about the time the small world facade was repainted with all the pastel colors.

I agree with you too. Pastels are perfect for IASW.

That's right. It's almost a sin to paint a Mary Blair design white when she was so famous for her exuisite use of colours.

Except she herself chose the classier white look for the design! )
