I'm back from spending 8 days at DLR

The Grand Californian was great! I survived TOT even though falling is my phobia. It was fantastic-rode it twice. Fantasmic on the balconey on Saturday with desserts was well worth it. There were a few changes to Fantasmic since I last saw it (no Pinnochio, no Ursula and no Mark Twain in the finale ). The party at Club 33 was GREAT!! I had so much fun. The food and drinks were excellent. It poured rain all day Friday and it was my first time riding rides in the rain and it was cold, but still fun. The only problem.....I WANT TO GO BACK!!!!!!

Gee I thought everyone had been to Club 33 at least once. Last time I went, got a behind the scene look at Indy......Great food, drinks, and service. If you ever get an invite...GO!!!

Club 33 was great!!!

The Party was great and the food was wonderful. All the ladies were given Mardi Gras beads and as we walked in we all got to take a pix with Mickey. There was an open bar but I drank champagne (it was very good) all night. Everyone had a choice of chicken, beef or vegetarian dinner. I chose beef and it was delicious. The dessert was the best. There was a choice of creme brulee or chocolate mousse cake. I had the creme brulee (my favorite) and it was huge and wonderful. They had a small band and dance floor. I was in awe the entire time. I felt like a kid in a toystore! I tried to see everything that I could. The ladies restroom was awesme. The only disppointment was they did not have the lift working, so we had to go up the stairs and they ran out of Club 33 shot glasses the day before, so I had to be satisfied with a Club 33 pen. Not many people knew much about the place and I had my table freaked out about the microphones in the chandeliers, which they never would have noticed unless I pointed it out. I made a call from the phone booth. The cast members were very, very nice. They filled the water glasses with Evian (I think) botled water. I felt like Cinderella because the time went so fast and 12:00 AM came much too soon. When we were leaving we had to be escorted out of the park in small groups because the park was closed. It was beautiful walking up Main Street with no one there and it was so quiet. The Castle was very pretty. Stupid me, I was so awestruck I had my camera with me but forgot to take pictures. It's a good thing I have my pix they took with Mickey in a folder that says Club 33 Mardi Gras, or no one would believe me!
