  • [Question] Disneyland Fanfiction?

So I've been reading The Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson, and while I don't particularly like the book, I like the idea of fiction based off of a Disney park. So my question is, do any of you know where I can find good Disneyland fiction online, and do you have any recommendations?

    My heart stopped.

We just had a Disneyland Fanfiction competition here with the due date being last Monday. When I saw this, I figured they had voted already.

Um, you do have to search. I write some myself, but it never gets off the ground. There are a bevy of blogs here, but none really cater to fan fiction.

However, there is a growing community of fanfiction, but it is still finding it's fan base. This is not like Star Trek. Each attraction can easily be realized upon itself. In other words, is a story about Space Mountain science fiction or is it fan fiction or, well, what?

In other, more similar terms, you've got a great question. I'd love to see what you come up with.

In the meanwhile, maybe I'll post something on my blog and I'll let cha know.

    Peace!

        Re: Disneyland Fanfiction?

I just bought Kingdom Keepers. It kind of amuses me, as I used to tell stories quite like this to my sisters when we were sitting around with nothing to do. I also like it because it's like 'Disney Girls', except a bit more grown up.

I'm not sure where to find other Disney fictional works, though. I only even know about Kingdom Keepers because of a commercial on Disney Channel.

I love the idea of Kingdom Keepers, but I think its very poorly executed--side stories go nowhere, the characters are uninspiring, the writing is clunky...I just don't like it at all. Pearson does much better working alongside Dave Barry in the Peter and the Starcatchers series.

Here I've found a small cache...I haven't read any yet though.

              Re: Disneyland Fanfiction?

I find it funny that anyone would be wanting this now.

I had a site for about a decade that was half virtual walkthrus of Disneyland attractions and half fanfiction of the same. Thanks to the more news-publication like sites, didn't get a heck of a lot of interest and closed in the midst of the 50th anniversary.

And NOW people are interested? Nice...
