  • [Question] Mark Twain sailing tonight?

Since there's no Fantasmic, does that mean the Mark Twain is sailing tonight? And does anyone know if its open until park closing?

I'm so used to not being able to ride it at night due to Fantasmic.

Any night that Fantasmic! is dark, Mark Twain will sail past dusk. It's usually until 9:00 or so, but some nights it will sail later.

Try to shoot for an almost dark time but not quite.. As once its dark, it gets pretty boring since you cant see anything until you come by the lit up show scenes.
          Everybody's got a laughin' place-
trouble is most folks won't take the time to go look for it.

I'm not sure if it will be open until closing, but they'll probably keep it running after sunset at 7pm. Just a guess. I've been there before in December on a weekday and it was running after dark. They've got a light that comes on that will allow guests to see a bit of the Indian Village, etc.

That's kinda the point. You know, being transported out of Anaheim and back in time 175 years? Like, immersion?

If the park closes at 8pm, the last sailing is at 6:40, or it was last week when I went.

Riding the Mark Twain riverboat at night is one of the very special treats at at DisneyLand that unfortunatly Fantasmic interferes with.
Enjoy the night cruise while you can! It is wonderful!

I totally concur! It is extremely special, and it really does feel like you are being transported back in time when you ride it at night. An outstanding and peaceful attraction.

Riding the Mark Twain at night is one of the most magical experiences a person can have at Disneyland. You're right. You can't see much. But that only adds to the magic. All you can see is the design of the Mark Twain, the river, and a few trees. You might just as well be in 1800's America. There are no other clues to suggest otherise.

It is a truly wonderful experience.
