  • [Question] Billy Hill and the Hillbillies

I was looking at the entertainment schedule and as of November 1st no more times are listed for Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. Is it going on hiatus or just not added to the schedule yet?

I agree, they better not be leaving. I saw it for the first time the last time I went and I thought it was so good I stood around for the next show. I hope they are coming back.

i doubt they would leave Disneyland. They are not the type of group that has much success outside of their realm. Dont get me wrong, they are fantastic musicians and great entertainers but they really dont have much beyond the gates of Disney.
"Whether in his movies or in his theme parks, Disney always promised a fantasy in which one could exercise the privileges of childhood - privileges he never abandoned in his own life. This will to power took the inanimate and brought it to life, or the illusion of like. In animation one could exercise the power of a god." - Neal Gabler, writer-'Walt Disney, The Triumph of The American Imagination'

We saw them a couple of weeks ago, and Kirk Wall (the lead Billy) wasn't performing with them - the replacement guy, was okay, but just didn't have the same spark. In fact, almost everybody was different except for the older guy - who I love (I think his last name is Fetchett or something). Anyway, I was a little disappointed.

We have been there the last 3 Mondays and Kirk has been performing.

I love these guys. I notice they are not listed for December either. I sure hope this is just a slip up or something. I have never known them to all take a break at the same time. They have subs and different sets of 4 guys but a group of Billies have there for quite some time now.

Re: Billy Hill and the Hillbillies

I'm pretty sure Disney just hasn't taken the time to list them on the schedule yet. Since there's three different Billy teams, I can't see any reason for the show to go on hiatus unless the Golden Horseshoe was undergoing refurb or something.

I love the Billys too but a new show would be great!

I'm bored of their current one..which has been the same for at least 3 years...

We just enjoyed them last Sunday at the 4pm show.

They're even funnier the 12th (or so) time!!!

The DL Calendar is notorious for not adding them to the schedule until it gets closer to the actual date. I wouldn't worry too much.

For me, A trip to DLR just wouldn't be complete without having lunch at least once at the Golden Horseshoe and watching the Billies. I sure hope they arent going anywhere.

I hope thats true, because the Sword in the Stone ceremony is another thing not on the schedule. I love that show, and I don't want to lose it.
