Suspect in Southland crime spree arrested at Disneyland

Does anyone have more info on this story? I wonder who found him at Disneyland, how the arrest went down and where in the park he was.

Word from my better half says that the suspect was chased from the Hungry Bear and captured at the front gate.

I wonder why in the world he would go to DL if he has just been on a crime spree...? Maybe to forget about his "crime cares"?

Weird ... I just wonder how they tracked him down to Disneyland of all places.

Maybe he was an AP and the scan hit some kind of police report.

Is Disneyland keeping track of AP's with criminal records???

Maybe he was going to hi-jack the railroad or a car from autopia.

Seriously though - based on his record listed in the article, maybe he was trying to perfect his pick pocket skills at the resort. It would be pretty easy to walk around pick pockets in a big crowd, or maybe he was just trying to swipe stuff off of strollers and then return it for the cash or whatever.

You never know, he might have just been there to enjoy the park.

The entry system doesn't communicate with the outside world, outside of Disney that is. Plain-clothed officers within the park probably received a 10-29F call with a description when the suspect entered their beat. The suspect probably thought Disneyland would be a good place to hide. The suspect failed to realize there are a good number of city police patrolling within the park on a given day, and many more can enter when needed.

Maybe one of those robberies netted him a DL ticket.

Even criminals like going to Disneyland!

He wouldn't have made it through security - Maybe a weapon made it through though.
