Happy Birthday Annette! You are a national treasure and a true Disney icon!

Oh, look, here's Annette now in Walt Disney's motion picture The Monkey's Uncle, singing the title song that is perhaps the most swingin'est thing the Sherman Brothers ever wrote!

Who knew you could do the Watusi and the Swim to the Sherman Brothers?!

        Re: Happy Birthday, Annette!

I love love love Annette Funicello.......always have. My wife, I think, has resemblance to Miss Funicello!

MerlinJones - do you know Miss Annette personally? I read in her Autobio from 1993 and I feel like I recall her close family and friends referring to her as Annie from time to time.

Anyway - HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNETTE - my favorite Mouseketeer!

Isn't Disney releasing the Annette serial from the Mickey Mouse Club as a Treasure collection next month? I thought it was one of the other forums.

Oh my, Annette was my heart throb. I loved her so much. Of course I was in love with Tuesday Weld and Haley Mills too. Don't know what that means though. Maybe I have good eyes for beautiful women. Oh yeah, can't forget Shelley Fabares.
Of course Annette was the best.

They are talented women who have class, elegance, and a graceful femininity. Annette was always down to earth. She had beauty without resorting to immodest clothing.

happy birthday Annette and thank you for providing the appropriate image of what a preteen/teen/young adult/adult should be. (I know folks I am geezing, but I dont care.)

Walt Disney, when he had not just yourself, but other elegant, beautiful, and very talented young women in the television programs and movies, provided us with an air of sophistication and moral responsibility, which all television and movie producers should have.

again happy birthday and thank you.

                with love
