    Trip Report My 2fer offer: Two TRs in one thread (PHOTO HEAVY)

    But, as opposed to my last TR I did, this one is going to be mostly photos, with little commentary. Why? I'm feeling lazy. :razz: That, and these two trips were mostly about taking photos. One trip with my tripod (at night only. I'm not that crazy to lug that thing around all day :yuck, and one without (this one also with Dan-Tasmic!). I'm going to mostly let the pictures speak for themselves. Now on to the pictures!!


    The first day- Oct. 11, 2008

    Someone on MC asked a little while ago about the band that's in the windows in the Portrait Gallery, so I took a couple shots. Sorry for the blurry- no flash, and they move!











    it's a small world is so much nicer, now that it's out from behind those awful tarps!






    Over to DCA!




    I'd have loved to, but it wasn't open yet. But that's on the second day of this TR.


    I think I'll let your computer catch up with the amount of photos here, and hold off on posting any more for a little bit.

            Day One- Part II

            This really is such a cute area in the park.






            My first time on this. ... I really wish they wouldn't spray you with watermelon scent, that didn't even smell like watermelon. I got sprayed so much, you would've thought it was the Pixar Play Parade. :botox: I really liked the animal crackers box, and overall, it's a cute ride, but WAY too short.

            But, again, the themeing in here is just amazing:



            No, I didn't see Tigger, but I did attempt to draw him, in the Animation Academy. Eh... I can do better, with practice.

            I want to be a Millionaire! But, I don't think I can play it.

            Never noticed this left over signage before.

            Back over to Disneyland!






            It was actually much darker than this picture shows (thank you manual exposure settings... and the post I sat my camera on ).


            After it got dark enough (which wasn't much later), I went back to my car for my tripod.

            To be continued... with nighttime pictures in both California Adventure, and Disneyland.

                            Day One - Part III

                            Since I really didn't have any night shots from DCA, I decided to head over there, and stay until it closed. I think I had 2-3 hours. I took lots of different shots of each subject, trying to get the settings right.

                            First? ToT!




                            I really liked how the moon was being filtered through the clouds. Kinda eerie...






                            Then over to Paradise Pier...





                            And a tighter shot of Midway Mania!



                            And then through Golden State:














                            And that's all for DCA!

                              Darn it! I was really hoping that this last batch would go on the yet-to-be 2nd page. I really didn't want this page to be bogged down with so many pictures, for the benefit of those who don't have high-speed internet.

                                Oh well. I'm truly sorry to those with slower connections, that it didn't work out as I had hoped.

                                Day One, Part IV

                                Back in DL, I headed over to Frontierland for a picture of... Big Thunder Mountain! Who'da thunk?




                                And, since it was now close to the start of the fireworks, I decided to setup shop in front of it's a small world. This really is a great spot to watch the fireworks from, because there aren't anywhere near as many people, and you really get to feel the blasts from each shell. I also discovered you can even hear the air launchers at times, as they send out the fireworks. Really neat. )

                                I had noticed the front doors on the clock tower had been left open, and that there were nice, new clock figures inside. Most still had their bubble wrap still on.




                                And then I decided to go to Tomorrowland, passing by the mighty Matterhorn mountain. Which you'll see in the next part of this report. EDIT: I hoping that it will be on the next page, this time. :beg: ) Well, look at that. It finally cooperated with me.

                                  As I said, we'll start off with the Matterhorn:

                                  And then, I tried to make the crowds disappear in the Adventureland walkways. I almost got it.




                                  I tried again for a shot of Big Thunder from Tarzan's Treehouse, but to no avail. I've found out that unless they turn off the sound system, I'll probably never get a clear shot. The vibrations ruin it.
