  • [Question] What is disneyland like over MLK weekend?

Hey all. I'm sure your sick of people asking questions like this, but january 19th is my birthday. I noticed that air-fare to california is ridiculously cheap, and since I get in for free on my birthday, I figure it will be worth making the trip.

This is MLK weekend. How are crowd levels? We will be there on sunday the 19th. What is the weather like?

    Thanks guys!

January 20th is my hubby's b-day and our anniversary and we plan to go to DLR too. What airline are you looking at. We are in Tucson, AZ. How about you?

I live in Denver, and we were looking at southwest airlines. I believe it was 79 dollars each way to arrive friday night and leave monday night

Not bad for a weekend escape! Especially when you consider that I wont even have to buy myself a ticket to disneyland!

Busy. Basic summer weekend crowd on Sunday. Not as bad on Monday.

Not so busy if it's raining.

Do you think that if we went on saturday when AP's are blocked out it would be any better?

general rule of thumb about crowds. Saturdays are always busier than Sundays. If it is a deluxe AP blackout day, it's going to be very busy. Weather in Jan could be 90(doubtful) or 50 and raining. Probably somewhere in between.

General rule of thumb about blockout days: blockout = busy. The more AP levels blocked out, the busier it will be.

That is what I figured too, but the hours on saturday are shorter (9-11) while on sunday, the day AP's are not blocked out, the hours are 8-12.

                  so, I don't know?
