Less crowded. Theoretically(sp?), people should be home with their families.

I'd go there "with" my family, if I could, actually!

Actually I found it to be busy last year. My mother and I arrived about an hour and half after opening and all the wheelchairs and scooters had been rented out. We had to wait about an hour before they called us to say that one had been returned and at that point we started our day at DL.
Taking contributions to get me back to Disneyland!

I have never been there myself on Thanksgiving, but I would think that it would be busy.

One year about four maybe five years ago, my family visited from out of state for the Thanksgiving holiday and wanted to go to DL. We concocted the idea that we'd have our Thanksgiving on Friday and go to DL on Thanksgiving Thursday. Wow! Was that ever a mistake. You think that everyone celebrates Thanksgiving right? Heck no! DL was crowded like a Summer day. Too bad. We really thought we had a good plan...

It's been really crowded both times I've been.

About fifteen years ago we were wondering what to do for Thanksgiving and the kids all wanted to go to Disneyland. My wife and I responded with a "nobody goes to Disneyland on Thanksgiving" then a light went off and so we went. It was almost vacant that year. We went every Thanksgiving for the next three or four years and then everyone else must have caught on because it started getting real crowded. That ended that one short family tradition. At least that's the way I remember it. I'm old so you will have to take that story with a grain of salt. Whatever that means.

We've been there for T-Day for quite a few years now, and in fact will be there again next week. We have pretty much stopped going in the Park on thursday and friday. Maybe a quick run thru the place just for kicks and to people watch, but not much else.

T-Day will be VERY busy. 45 minute lines just to board the trains on Main St. 2 hour waits for Splash, etc...

We enjoy our meal at the DL Hotel's Grand Ballroom and then take a dip into the Neverland pool while the rest of the folks fight it out in the Park.

                    Have fun!

I'll be there next week! yay!

We are all prepared for major crowds.. So we will just enjoy the day, have dinner at storytellers and watch all the madness. hehe! I have never been to the park during the holidays. I can't wait to see all the lights and decorations!
