  • [Idea] Dress to Impress Day!

(Unofficial) Dress to Impress Day at Disneyland!

    Sunday, April 5, 2009

As I watch the old film, "Disneyland, USA" on my "Disneyland, Secrets, Stories, and Magic" DVD, I marvel at all the well dressed people at Disneyland. Ever see any old pictures or films yourself and wonder, what happened to those days? Well, I'll tell you, we found sneakers, t-shirts, flip flops, and other things much more comfortable to wear through our marathon trips to the Happiest Place on Earth!

But, for one day, let's renew a tradition and come to Disneyland dressed to impress! This is NOT a 50's or 60's day, nor a blast from the past. You are certainly welcome to do so, but I am inviting everyone to simply dress their best for a day at Disneyland on Sunday, April 5, 2009 - and we'll enjoy looking for each other, standing out from the crowd.

While I am an occassional micechatter (but daily miceage visitor), and probably not well known among the community, I hope you all will take my idea and run with it!

I also hope the Micechat round up administrator will be kind enough to pick up this thread and feature it! Let's get everyone involved, spread the idea to other chat boards and other venues to get the word out and let's look forward to...

...lookin' good in Disneyland in '09!

I like that idea.. I would be game.
When hinges creek in doorless chambers, and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls, Whenever candlelights flicker, where the air is deathly still, That is the time when ghosts are present practicing their terror with ghoulish delight.

Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion!

              Been there, done that.

My high school prom was at the Anaheim Convention Center. This was back in 86. After a couple hours we were all so bored so we went across the street to DL and had a fun time -- us guys in our tuxes and our dates in their prom dresses.

Apparently we weren't the only ones -- there were others there dressed the same way!

Looks like this will be after I've moved to Orange County, so I might be able to make it!

I'm thinking of a full suit, minus the overcoat. I've been planning on buying a Disney tie anyway.

I would definitely do that! It can be sort of opposite of the Goth Day and Raver Day or whatever they are called
