  • [Pictures] Old Disneyland Pictures Released by MTA

The Los Angeles MTA has been scanning their archives and there are quite a few old Disneyland pictures in their collection. Note, the site is mostly non-Disney (and, not surprisingly, transportation related), but there are some nice Dland and old Los Angeles pictures. Enjoy.

I am almost positive that the last photo (Walt with the MTA staff) was taken in the Private lounge of the Red Wagon Inn (now the Plaza Inn)... the private lounge area was turned into the cast dining when Club 33 and Plaza Inn opened.

If walt had such a good relationship with the MTA back then, I bet he could have gotten a subway system to Disneyland by now.

And then Disney said "I'm dead, lawl, it's 2009, please build me a Subway." OK, ROFL, we can't even build a subway to the ocean, LETS BUILD SUBWAY TO DISNEYLAND. No wait, how bout to THE MOON!

Nice. Anyone who complains that the celebration lampposts, tinkerbell 50th lampposts, etc.. don't fit the theme of Main Street now I can just point them to that picture
