  • [Question] Pixar Play Parade and Fantasmic, Spring Break

I was just looking at the Spring Break entertainment schedule and noticed that the PPP and F! are not running during the week during spring break. That seemed weird to me especially because there is no parade on Main Street. Spring break is one of their busiest times and I feel like they would want to beef up the entertainment. Is it usually like this, or is this unusual?

good question! With that info, you could figure out if it is, in Disney's terms,"spring break"!
      Disneyland - Since 1995
      Walt Disney World - 2010
      Tokyo Disneyland - 2015
      Hong Kong Disneyland - 2015
      Disneyland Paris - ????

The "Disney Spring Break" season runs from Monday the 6th all the way to Friday the 17th. (i assume the first week is more crowded)

(i'm looking at the southern california blockout dates for this inference lol)

PEAK Easter Break in 2009 is April 3rd through April 19th, you more than likely will find both running daily during that time frame. (Week before and after Easter).

But during March, you will see extended park hours during the week, but not extended entertainment.

I checked the Disneyland site, but they don't even have the entire month of March posted yet. Where is the Spring Break calendar?

Well, the START of Spring Break is up, as you can see in March...

First week is normal off-season hours.

Week of March 9th, Disney opens 9 to 9 during the week, so an extra 2 hours, due to the expected large crowds.

Week of March 16th is 9 to 11 during the week, or another 2 hours.

I presume the week of March 23rd and 30th will be the same as March 16th.

Then 8 AM to Midnight starting April 3rd though April 19th, and then more than likely back to the 9 to 9 hours for the week of April 20th.

The week of April 27th, and all of May until Memorial Day weekend should be just like the first week of March, normal off-season hours.

This is based on past history, but should be pretty accurate.

I was looking at the week of the 16th, which along with the next week are considered to be the busiest weeks of spring break (according to wikipedia)

Fan! will be down because they are installing some new things in the show. It should be down till the start of summer.

Fantasmic doesn't go down until April as far as I know.

Search for "Fantasmic!" and "Fantasmic & It's Dragon" threads on the boards ... tons of info/speculation/lollipops there!

Fantasmic! will be going dark on the 29th of this month, and most likely wont be back up until June.

As of now, Pixar is set to be running five days (Thursday-Tuesday) until the summer.
