  • [Question] Magic mornings...

What days are magic mornings? We have our tickets already for our trip next month and it says we get one Magic morning.

I think it is Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

    Of course subject to change!

Good luck getting up that early!

I had a magic morning with my package, but couldn't drag myself out of bed in time.

Theatre organ performances: Singin' in the Rain, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite, My Foolish Heart

I was able too. Fantasyland was great with 45 other people. It was also the first time I had ever visited and the Matterhorn was open, and didn't have a line wrapping around the entire base of the mountain. Drag yourself. It's very worth it. Take Nyquil the night before at 6pm.

          Re: Magic mornings...

Great question and great opportunity! If you have the option for the Magic Mornings, please take advantage of that. Fortunately, I live about a little over an hour away from the park, but we stay at the resort several times each year. We find Magic Mornings to be so enjoyable that we will cut the night before a little bit short to get some sleep and wake up early so we are one of the first into the parks.

Magic Mornings is one of the perks of staying at the hotels around the DLR, and it allows you to enjoy the park one hour before the general public can enter. So if the park opens at 8:00am, MM allows you to enter at 7:00am to spend an hour in the park with minimal guests and wait times for the attractions. Only a portion of the park is open, though, and fastpass machines will not be operational until the park is officially open. This is an unofficial list of attractions that open and this is just from my experience: Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Star Tours, Nemo, Matterhorn, Peter Pan, Mr. Toad's, Pinocchio, Snow White, Carousel, Alice in Wonderland, Tea Cups, and Dumbo (Anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong or add to the list if I forgot one). All other attractions will remained closed during this extra hour; however, when the park opens its gates at scheduled opening time, most (if not all) of the attractions will be available to enjoy and fastpass machines will be operational.

Just to give you an example at how great this opportunity is, I stayed at the resort this past Saturday and Sunday, and, as reported quite well on this website, the park was PACKED! Saturday night was so busy that we knew it would make more sense for us to return to GCH and hang out there for the night and call it a night at about 12. We woke up the next morning, grabbed a bite at concierge, and were the second people through the turnstiles at 7:00am. From that time to about 10:00am, we did more than most of the other guests that were just arriving at 10:00/11:00am. We first were escorted onto Space Mountain (we were the second rocket dispatched of the day), walked onto the Matterhorn, waited 2 min. for Peter Pan, rode the Carousel, Snow White, Dumbo, and Alice all before 8:00am. Once the rest of the attractions opened at the scheduled opening, we walked onto Casey Jr. and rode Thunder twice without leaving the train (we could have gone a third time but opted out). We then headed to Splash Mountain and walked to the front and rode twice without leaving the log (once again, could have gone a third time). From there we walked into the foyer of the Haunted Mansion and then spent 20 minutes on Tom Sawyer's Island once it opened. From there, walked right on to Pirates and headed to Indy to get a fastpass for later in the day. We were hungry and decided to grab breakfast at Storyteller's in GCH. It was a little after 10:00am. We had a blast! Definitely take advantage of Magic Mornings!

(edit) ...oh, and by the way, the wait times on Sunday after 11:00 were so astronomical that we only went back in the afternoon to ride Indy with our fastpass, Jungle Cruise, Small World, and the Disneyland RR. Remember, early bird catches the worm!! (I hate cliches, sorry!)

Haha!! I realized that I didn't really answer your question, but I hope I helped a little somehow! Have a great day.

Its easy to remember Magic Morning Days...STTS...if there are changes, there is usually a week notice to CM's, but that is usually if there is a special event. Have a great time!!

If you get one there are two ways to use this If you use it on Tuesday or Thursday it starts later and the crowd that have the option is usually smaller. The weekend mornings are a more crowded but the extra hour makes more of a difference compared to the crowd later in the day.

How do you get into the park early on magic mornings? Just use main entrance or do you have to enter through DTD monorail station?

The left gates will be for Magic Morning, there will be a sign above the entrance that says "Magic Morning". The gates on the right will still be closed and just say "Entrance" and they will open at the normal opening time.

Anyone know if they have magic mornings the same morning of a grad night?

I'm unfortunately going to Disneyland the day before a grad night, so I'll miss the fireworks.
Hoping to raise enough money to go to DL from Pennsylvania with my wife for our 5 year anniversary. (We went there on our honeymoon!)

If you would like to contribute to the cause for a relatively poor private school teacher. Please private message me. I'd be very thankful.

You can use either. If the Monorail is running you can go in through the DTD station or at the main gate. Also if you are staying at one of the Disney Hotels you can enter for MM and day it is available whether or not you have a MM ticket, just show your hotel key. At least that is the way it was, but maybe it has changed.
Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.

thanks! We've done magic mornings before but it's been almost 2 years since we last went, so wasn't sure which mornings it was... Looking forward to our trip! 6 days there will be great!
