Whe we plan our multi-day trips, we usually arrive on Sunday and depart on Wednesday. Best of both worlds.

Sundays are used for people watching, shopping, sight-seeing, Lilly Belle, fireworks, parades, Fantasmic, a few select rides, DCA, etc...

Mon-Wed's are a lot quieter and are used for the rides and character meals/meets.

During the summer, we avoid the w/e's like the plague!

ANY day spent at Disneyland is magical!

I love the weekdays much more; the lack of most of the "extras" is more than made up for by being able to get on many more rides and/or just enjoying the atmosphere of the park. Plus, in the winter, it leads to those oft-missed nighttime cruises on the Mark Twain.

The only thing I'm not a fan of the weekdays is the lack of being able to enjoy a martini at the Cove Bar.

The only thing I don't like about the weekdays during the winter are the shorter park hours. I wish they stayed open til 12 all days of the week. But I like the less crowd aspect of it. To me, there is never enough time at Disneyland. It goes by so fast.

Oh....this is the best thing about going in the middle of the week. This is unheard of on weekends now (Fantasmic).

Um, if you've never been, how would you know for sure?

Sure, it doesn't feel the same. I get on more attractions on a weekday than on a weekend.
The drive down is slightly worse during the week.

It feels different to me - but it still feels great
                      Good morning, son
                      In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                      It was pain
                      Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

During the week (and off-peak) is the only time we go anymore. It's a heck of a lot more fun for us w/o the crowds and noise.
No more wekends for us unless its to join in on a MC meeting some Sunday.

You know, I used to really revel in going during the week (when I wasn't grown up and didn't have an 8-5PM M-F job lol) but I actually don't mind weekends. It always feels the same, regardless of the day, but there are two things I really like, off-peak Saturdays when the crowds are relatively low and most of the So Cal APers are blocked and Sundays when kids have school the next day and mom & dad have work.

Though I prefer to go to Disneyland on a non-crowded weekday, the park always feels just as awesome.

I can go a little crazy when Adventureland gets overloaded with people though. I need to grab onto my friend or family member so we don't get separated in the mob. Yet even when it's that crowded, Disneyland maintains its fun quality.

I prefer the weekdays, actually. If I could, I'd probably never go on a weekend at all, certainly not during peak season (not that it matters much then)
I like to try to take in all the little details, the plants and flowers, all that. And it's much easier the fewer people there are in the park. It feels like Disneyland, but more so because I'm not one of a horde of people getting pulled along.
                              It's still Disneyland!
