  • [Question] Singing bread???

Alright MiceChatters, I've got a puzzle for you to solve! My friend and I went to Disneyland last summer, and before planning the trip she was reminiscing about a time when she was younger and had gone to DL and had seen singing bread. I had never heard of anything like that being at the park, so I just dismissed it as a juvinile imagination thing. Then, a couple of weeks ago, she found a picture of the singing bread and showed it to me. Nothing in the picture directly indicates it is from DL, but she is adamant that was where the picture was taken.

So, my question for you all is...has there ever been singing bread in Disneyland? If so, when and where? Or is she completely off her rocker?

    Re: Singing bread???

I think there might have been singing bread in the Food Rocks show that was at Epcot years ago - not aware of anything like that at Disneyland or DCA though.[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CIQlJ3o6KI]YouTube - EPCOT FOOD ROCKS PART ONE[/ame]

Weird, I've never heard of that. I'm looking forward to seeing if anyone knows anything more. There's that ask Dave thing now on D23, maybe you should try that.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

Actually, sorry, I think it even predates that! I think it was the show at Epcot just before that one which was Kitchen Kabaret

Yes, your friends has confused a childhood trip to Walt Disney World with a previous trip to Disneyland.

Kitchen Kabaret was fun though. Too bad it's gone.

Is your friend ok in the head? jk. I don't think there was anything like that here in CA.

Yeah it's gotta be Kitchen Kabaret from the Land pavillion at EPCOT back in the day... Never got to see it, but I heard it was fun!

Kitchen Kabaret & Food Rocks used a lot of the same AA's.

Your friend thought an attraction at WDW was actually at DL?

Someone notify Jay Rasulo! I think he might have a position for her in upper management!

No...that couldn't have been it. She's never been to WDW, and the picture of the bread showed just a small loaf sitting on a table. She may just be completely off her rocker, though, and it might be from some other theme park entirely. But thanks for the information! She goes to the midwest a lot for family events, so I know she's been to Branson. It could have been something she saw there.

I would have also said Kitchen Kabaret. Hmm that's strange then, I certainly don't know what it could be!
