  • Alice in Wonderland shoes?

Have you ever noticed the three pairs of shoes sitting on top of the mushroom outside of the Alice in Wonderland ride? Why are they there? Was there once a character that occupied those shoes? Any pictures of the owner? Will the owner ever return?

I'm pretty sure those feet used to belong to the caterpillar, who disappeared. But I'm not sure when. The 1983 FL redo?

I don't know if the caterpillar was ever there, but the shoes are supposed to be his. Left over since now he has turned into a butterfly and flown off.

The Caterpillar was never on the mushroom (you are riding him) - - if you have seen the movie, he changes into a butterfly at the end of the sequence, leaving his shoes behind...

I would swear that at one time the caterpillar was on the mushroom and he was smoking a water pipe (which would explain why the might want to have him disappear.)

He's on a similar mushroom INSIDE the ride. So in the next scene he is gone.
And notice the butterfly wings on the left side of the picture (or are those leaves?).
