  • Which 3 Restaurants would you like to see return to the DLR?

Inspired by the "Attractions" thread of the similar name.

    My choices:

    1. Big Thunder BBQ (mmmmmm ... MEAT!) w/ Billy Hill and the Hillbillies
    2. Monorail Cafe (Denney's done well ... wait, that's an oxymoron)
    3. Tahitian Terrace w/hula girls, torch jugglers, etc.

    2. Avalon Cove (had some really great romantic dinners there)
    3. Tomorrowland Terrace with the cool planter/sculpture stage

      Hook's Pirate Ship!
      Monrail Cafe!
      And, um, something else yummy?
      Good morning, son
      In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
      It was pain
      Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I'd be a happy camper if the Big Thunder BBQ returned! DL isn't the same without dinner by the campfire.

Tahitian Terrace, Monorail Cafe ( It was a tradition with my grandfather and I growing up to go over there, just the 2 of us, and have a milkshake while watching the monorail come and go).

I remember years ago there was a area somewhere in the back area of Disneyland ( I can't remember if it was where Fantasyland Theater is now or if it was somewhere else near the end of fantasyland where the skyway used to be. This was before they refurbished Fantasyland in the '80s. The area was what looked like a food court, they had round tables with umbrellas in the middle of them and plastic chairs surrounding them. In a simi-circle around the area were all these stalls that looked like they sold food.. kind like the stalls that used to be in the Carnation Plaza. I remember it was always closed and I always wondered what exactly it was.
            Growing older is manditory
            Growing up is however, optional

Definitely tahitian terrace, aladdin's oasis was good as well but not as good as the original. Hopefully someday they will revive one of them.

I don't remember that one. Where was it? When did it go to Yesterland?

It went by a few different names including Hills Bros. coffee House and Town Square Cafe but I remember it best as the American Egg House.

Located in Town Square right about where the Parade route ends.

It operated as a Restuarnat(Full Service) from the Opening in 1955 till just a few years ago(1997?)

It was the American Egg House from 1978 to 1983.
