  • [Question] Tech explanation DCA lagoon construction

So, can anyone simply explain what the construction pieces in the lagoon are going to do during the world of color show? It looks like they build a giant platform...watertight underneath? Anyway, just curious about the purposes. Thanks.

The platform does not do anything more than allow them to place the jets, lights and effects on top and run the pipes under the platform. If maintenance need to be done they can walk on the platform and fix the problem. There will be no need to swim or drain the whole lagoon to get to things.
