Is it TOO lighthearted for the average teen?

            No teenagers go to Disneyland.

In some aspects, yes, but different strokes for different folks. There have been days where I don't do any thrill rides and usually just hang out in Fantasyland.

Mine did, but, they were brought up going to DL, so, they loved going. It IS short on thrill rides, and, for a first time...they may not love it. ha!

I always have to take a trip on small world, pirates, mansion, toad, toy story, muppets. I always enjoy atleast one good thrill ride whenever I go, but I always want to do other things when I visit.

i could careless if there were none at all. its the way that Disneyland puts you into different worlds while on their rides that keep me coming back.

The truth is, I'm more concerned with the "kiddie factor" than the lack of thrill rides (California Adventure has a bunch).

I'm 19 so I guess I'm still eligable to speak on this haha. I personally LOVE Disneyland and would rather go to no other place. I live a good 2 hour drive from the park and so far have made it down 4 times this year (Thank You SoCal AP). I always travel with my friends and they are all teenagers too. We always have the time of our lives when were there. Although yeah we much rather go on all the big E-Ticket rides, we still can enjoy classics such as the Fantasyland dark rides. Heck we spent a good hour and a half inside Innovations on our last trip...

Like said earlier, DCA is much more targeted toward the teenager crowd but to me that place doesn't have the same spark as Disneyland. And I say that without bashing DCA because I very much enjoy that park too. But then again maybe me and my friends are in the minority because we do know many teens who would much rather go to Six Flags Magic Mountain or Knotts. But what I think that keeps luring us back in, is that what Disneyland doesn't have in the amount of thrill rides it makes up for with quality and fulfilment. Getting off Space Mountain gives me more of a rush than riding any unthemed steel coaster over at Magic Mountain.

If anything I think more teens need to be exposed to Disneyland. Because I'll admit when i first started going on a routine almost monthy basis last year they wern't so welcoming about spending the day at Disneyland. But now any time I suggest we take a trip its almost a unanamous yes. Then again we still might be a minority. My friends and I are really tech savy ppl so we always like to discuss the mechanics of Disney rides and the detail put into them and the queues. Its the feeling of being aurrounded in a place like Disneyland that almost makes the whole trip surreal. Unlike Six Flags where almost any ride takes us out of it and showcases the outside world in its ugly traffic congested glory.
