50th Rehab Work ETC.

All this work for the 50th...CONSTRUCTION EVERYWHERE. Anyway, I noticed on the Jungle Cruise several scenes were different/altered I suppose as a way to fix it without having to close the ride entirely. The cobras where missing entirely, the baboons were missing entirely before the veldt, and even Ahontas ("that rhino's gonna poke Ahontas") was missing! The entire pole and party, all missing. Now the rhino seems to be shredding some camping materials...also Schwietzer Falls seemed to be running lean, not very full but that could have been an effect of the rain. Also, the paint scheme over in Tomorrowland looks much better...a graphite/silver color is being painted over the old red Mars color on the rocky wall by the Premiere shop pin trading area. I just hope it fits in with the green, blue, and bronze around the rest of the land. Any other updates?

I remember Al saying that there would be a major overhaul of the Jungle Cruise for the 50th that would include a wall to seperate it from Indy

I think they're just starting a bit early

A wall to seperate it? That would remove the joke of "look at those animals" in line. I always liked wavying at the boats as I exited Indy and assumed that most of the guests didn't know I knew I was part of a joke. I guess that's just me trying to add a little magic and laughter to the park. ;/

I wonder if they'll be returning any of the original elements from way back when like the giant spider that could fill up that area to separate it from the Indy ride.

I asked this in another thread, but no one answered me. Has the partner's statue been painted gold? I saw a pic on the net where the statue was clearly very gold. I don't know when the pic was taken, but I as just there a few weeks ago, and the statue as not gold then. Could someone let me know??

Now that I look at it, it looks like the back of the castle. I dunno, it confused me, that's why I posted it. Thought all you disney experts could help me figure it out.

This looks to be the smaller "home version" of the statue. I have one like this and with the flash from the camera it looks very gold. I am not 100% positive that this is indeed not the true "partners statue" but it looks as though the base is on a blue blanket or tablecloth and taken from an extreme angle.
