  • Mice at Disneyland

During my past few visits, I've been noticing more and more mice at Disneyland. They aren't very big, usually they're no bigger than my thumb... BUT THEY ARE ALWAYS RUNNING AROUND! In daylight too. They run right next to my show and then they run into the bushes. I find most of them right by the matterhorn, in line and by the plaque of bigfoot's foot. The first time was kind of cool, because I had never seen mice at Disneyland before, but it's getting kinda gross...

    Anyone else seen the rodents?

I saw one over near Coke Corner in the pin trading area a few months ago. i think the CM's are trying to domesticate the feral cats a bit too much and they are not doing their job!!!! Maybe they went on strike!!! "Will kill mice for churros and dole whips"

      Re: Mice at Disneyland

My kids first saw them out in Downtown Disney by the hot dog place, running around in the raised planters. There were dozens of them scurrying about.

I figured the cats had chased them out of Disneyland... guess not all of them.

Yup, in the planter area in front of HM along the walkway while a group of us were sitting there we saw some. Makes me wonder if the restaurants have any vermin infestation. Droppings anyone???

It's fine with me if you folks see mice running about on the walkways. I'll be VERY worried however if I start reading posts from people seeing them in the park food stands and restaurants.

Where do you think they're getting the food to survive from? O_o

I don't mind the mice in the planters. It's the restaurants that I'd worry about.

I enjoy watching them in the bushes though.

But, I agree with DK that the cats aren't doing their jobs.

Well, guests drop a lot of food - a LOT.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

                  Re: Mice at Disneyland

Yeah, but for the amount of mice I've seen, there must be something going on. And they're getting bold now, running out in the middle of the day instead of at night in the shadows.

And guests drop a lot of food, but Disneyland is a VERY clean park for the most part...

I've seen mice in front of Peter Pan's Flight and the Mad Hatter shop.

Then there's that big one that's always hanging out at the park...

I hope they are eating out of the garbage cans or something.

We've seen our fair share of mice (and NONE of them were related to Mickey!). Toon-town behind Minnies house, walkway to the men's room behind NOS, Indy's exit walkway (while waiting for baby swap) and finally, the Mexican restaurant. Yes, along the walkway between the entrance and the restrooms. We changed our minds and didn't eat there.
