  • [Question] Birthday Promotion Question

Okay, so the Deulxe APs are blocked out on Saturday, the 13th. Thats my brothers birthday. Now, since all of my family have the same pass, we dont want to spend that much money to get into the park when we go all the time.

I know you can get the free ticket from the ticket booth. I wanted to know that, if on blockout days, can you get the Fun Card from the ticket booth?

Also, I wanted to know if those bithday fun card are valid at the Lego Store in DTD. It's my little brothers birthday, and he absolutly LOVES legos.

Thanks for the help you guys!
We are currently imagineeing a new attraction for you!

The fun cards are unfortunately not valid at the Lego store because Disney does not own it.

      Re: Birthday Promotion Question

You can't choose from one of the alternate birthday gifts unless you have a valid multi-day ticket, meaning your brother has three choices.

      1) Get a free blockout day ticket and visit Disneyland free on his birthday, just like a non-AP would.

      2) Buy a blockout day ticket, then choose from any of the three alternate gifts (Birthday Fastpasses, Birthday Fun Card, Return ticket).

      3) Decide to celebrate his birthday at Disneyland a little early or late, and forgo any monetary gift in lieu of a good old birthday button.

Blockout ticket costs $40 and Fun Card is at a value of $69. I would buy the blockout ticket and then get the Fun Card.

Thanks for the help! Since we are going to Legoland for his birthday now without telling him, I guess we will just have to buy some legos there.

And that's kinda sucky for some people, but at least they dont lose money by people going to DTD, and not going into the park.

Use your AP at the DTD Lego store for a discount. If there are any Lego sets you want and the store doesn't have them, they'll ship them to your home FREE.

I like the DTD Lego store better than the ones at Legoland.

Unless the child is age 3 through 9 on their BD, then it is only a $59 Fun Card. (Same price as a one day/one park ticket for a child).

                Re: Birthday Promotion Question

I don't know where to ask this and didn't feel a new thread was needed. So this one seems like the one to ask in. I found out that you can't just straight out get the Fun Card on blackout dates. But is it possible to get the free ticket and bump it up to a deluxe pass on a blackout day? My birthday's on June 19 and I saw on a list that it's a blackout date. Would I have a problem upgrading?

And a side question(of opinion, I suppose): I'm still not sure if I want to spend to get an annual if my friends won't have one to go with me. Should I still get one and hope I have people to go with?
