By the way, over at MousePlanet, they mentioned this twice weekly event (Wednesdays and Saturdays) where they sell the Happy Meal toys for just $1, and the money goes to the Ronald Mc Donald's Charities. They are located in the City of Industry, I think Lisa and I are stopping there this Saturday on the way to the park.

Let me share one comment from MP....

I found the McDonalds booth without a problem (which is a small miracle because there's 60,000 square feet of show space!) and they have ALL of the current Disney/McDonalds toys in bins... for $1 each. They have a large selection of past happy meal toys... some from YEARS back (remember the Disney Classics videocase happy meal toys? yup, they got 'em!). I picked up a couple of toys I new my co-workers were missing, a toy each for my two girls (they went with me and were being very well behaved) AND a couple of the "Pixar Pals" happy meal toys that I wasn't able to find, from about 6 months ago. The whole thing cost me just over $6.

oh, and they DO come with the lenticular (3d) cards... there may well be a winning card just in those bins!

They also sell the whole display case with the toys inside! I didn't ask how much. Mrs. DaddyB was with me, and she'd kill me if I brought that home!

so in short, if you are anywhere in the SoCal/LA area, do NOT go to ebay to buy the toys... they're available for a buck right here in LA.

I got the parade of dreams one. I didn't realize it was a set. That's pretty cool.
Did you hear about the three blondes who were driving to Disneyland?
After being in the car for hours, they saw a sign that said "Disneyland left" so they turned around and went home.

Does anyone have a Peter Pan card they're willing to trade? I want one, but not for $5ish from eBay, sheesh. $3.25 shipping????

I do have a rockin' roller coaster and beauty and the beast card to trade.
Also have a Minnie and Pluto figurine to trade.
                Good morning, son
                In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                It was pain
                Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
