  • [Rumor] Fantasmic Dragon to be tested tonight?(6/21)

    Last night after the 10:30 show of Fantasmic there was a lot going on the island, many lights turned on and bunch of techs walking around (more than usual) I know its normal to see this after the 10:30 showing but last night there was something wierd. So one of the techs said that it was likely that they were going to test the dragon, can anyone confirm this? Think we can see the dragon next week?

      I believe they were just doing there normal set strike. I have pics of this, and may post them below later.

      It is not likely the dragon is already fixed, but it is plausible.

          Praise the Lord if the dragon is fixed! I'll also pray that if it is in fact fixed, that it wont break during testing again.

              No, you must be thinking of The Possibly Implausible, a Wolfgang Von Drake cartoon. , and, just to be sure, .

                There's no way they could have gotten it done by now, considering how much had to be fixed (remember, it was a mess of metal and broken fiberglas). I'd expect about 2 more weeks, Fourth of July at the earliest. As KAN noted, it does look like a normal set strike.

                    The dragon was not being tested. Not for another 2 weeks. Then they will start a 3 week testing period. Replacement parts should be arriving next week claims one of the stage managers.

                      WoW this is the TRUTH:
                      [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG5HGOQIjYo&feature=related]YouTube - BROKEN FANTASMIC DRAGON NEW UPDATE[/ame]
                      Disneyland's closed for all of 2011. See you in 2012. Snow White is now a water ride, Matterhorn has a fullsize basketball court where the Clippers have relocated to, and King Arthur's Carousel is suspended 250ft. in the air.
                      Enjoy it while it lasts! LOL!

                      What happened to the old Disney movie opening? The new ones just too long and not classic.

                        Forgive me, but didn't I already post (and FWD confirmed) the "TRUTH" of the dragon a few weeks ago?

They didn't quite make it there in time, and the dragon collapsed upon itself. It was specially designed that way [to collapse upon itself] to keep all the other performers safe. She said it should be ready to go in a few weeks.

                            Yes! You did! I don't see how "the truth" is claimed by quoting a Disney Press person.

                              I agree with you there! That would be a great ad for the get a mac commercials. The regular begging to the commercial and then have mac say pc let's race to see who can have the dragon debut in 3 weeks. PC fails by getting a virus or freezing and making the dragon crash. That would be really funny!
