  • question for DL locals about school schedules down there

I live in Seattle, and I happened to notice while driving by a local elementary school the other day that schools here have Oct. 14th off. I think it's a teacher in-service day or something. The reason I ask is that Oct. 14th is the day I shall be enjoying myself at down at Disneyland, and I was just wondering if anyone living down there knows if local schools in Anaheim have the same day off? I don't know if it's only specific to my school district, but if I'm going to be attending DL on a day where the local kids don't have school, I might change my plans.

Not a local but will be there on the same day so I started to look on the web for Anaheim School Districts:

    http://www.acsd.k12.ca.us/7182907819...k_Calendar.pdf

These kids will be in school BUT there are lots of other School Districts in the area...
actually a bunch of districts - see here:http://www.ocde.k12.ca.us/schools.html

Why do you have Oct 14 off?

Most schools should be in session.
Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

Wolfette is off October 12th, but she goes to Private School in Garden Grove, I'm hoping her school is the only one, since Wolfman's birthday is that day, and of course we want to spend it at Disneyland!

Our little district (Yucaipa) gets the 24th off for an "non-school day", but not Columbus or any other day that month ....... weird schedule ......

Teacher In-service day, I believe is what the OP wrote.

Newport-Mesa will be at school and Irvine will be at school. Irvine has the 17th off, I believe. It's conference day.

I know some schools are out on October 4th and 13th due to the Jewish High Holy Days. Maybe some are taking the 14th to make it a long weekend

All OC and Anaheim + torrance and PV school districts are in that day, so they should be in school

We start a two week break tomorrow and we'll be at the Park (Hotel) tomorrow night to begin our one week stay. Gotta love those year 'round schools!

                        See you there!
