As far as the 3rd one we have heard the Frontierland rumour about Woody-land in the back, but as far as Adventureland they have no place to go at this point.

The CM I spoke too said they were just "incorporating" Ariel into the subs as my original post said - not a storyline change.
As for the Land expansion, both Al's story about new rides in frontierland and your above quote kinda corroborates the rumour don't you think?

I hope the water park rumor is not true - that would be more of a cop out than DCA was (and is).

But I do not think it matters that there is another one so close - heck WDW has how many different ones? And I have no idea, but I would assume Orlando had other water parks seeing as how many theme parks it has.

I just hope the water park is nothing more than a rumor, it would be such a waste.

#1. We do NOT need another water park. And especially if it were based around Winnie the Pooh, cuz it sounds like a kiddie water park. And as much as I love The Little Mermaid, that would seem to cater to the female population. Heck, if it's going to happen, why not theme it around ALL the Disney villians? Now that would be awesome!

#2. Yep, I just read that the SUBS got their *green-light*. But why base it upon Nemo??? I saw the movie and quite honestly, didn't find it that appealing. Just what we need too, another Pixar ride in Tomorrowland. Someone had it right when they called it Pixar-land. Why not do a Little Mermaid theme instead, that would be more exciting! But you know, just having something there will be a huge milestone. And I'm sure the Nemo theme will be done very well too!

#3. Woody-land? Just the name alone conjures up unnecessary giggles and remarks. To be honest, when I think of Woody-land, I think of something like *A Bugs Land*...cheaply put together! Why can't Disney come up with something original? But again, I won't trash the idea all together, cuz if Disney does it right, it could turn out to be really great.

I would not dig a waterpark. Wouldn't even consider going.

I would assume that they are planning on using the Big Thunder BBQ area and festival arena areas for new attractions? That would be cool, cause that area is almost always empty and could soak up a lot of folks. If they do this I hope they allow access into Toontown from that side too.

No third gate is on the horizon for at least the next ten years says I... anything else is probably blue sky ideas... There might be an Ariel reference in the Nemo ride but I doubt it will be dual themed... the Woody expansion for Frontierland is far from greenlighted, I would think with all the other stuff already giong on around the parks...

1. nope it's not Pooh it's Pirates (nah not happening for ten years at least and it had BETTER be a theme park, build a beach themed park behind the Paradise Pier hotel, it would match the theme and the beach themed hotel could have beaches on both sides )

2. I'll agree that Nemo isn't the most exciting theme but WDI will probably do alright with it, adding Ariel would only convilute the ride experience

3. OMG how did you KNOW!!! once the Woody expansion is done they're actualy going to take out Frontierland's hub entrance and go for a HongKong style hube layout instead were only Fantasyland Tomorrowland and Adventureland have entrances.
They're going to setup Alladin's Magic Carpets right in the front the way the orbiter is setup in tomorrowland, the entryway will be themed to an arabian market, but you will be able to turn off and go into the dense jungle for Indy, Tikiroom and Jungle cruise, this will help with traffic flow and such they're is also consideration for an Alladin darkride in this area. The Frontierland entrance will be pushed back to just before the area of Big Thunder Mountain, and it will have two entry arches, one when you leave Adventureland and another when you leave fantasyland

Sounds like Disney wants to cash in on the summer water action. All these water parks on a hot day can have people visiting the water parks instead.
With only Splash Mountain and Grizzley at DCA, people can get pretty overheated. I hate the idea myself, but I can see them wanting something with water in Disneyland. sprinklers would do actually, like they had in Tomorrow Land. and near bugs life in DCA.

This will never happen. It may be a water park but the Hundred Acre Woods thing is absurd.

Al said Frontierland was going to get 3 rides at one point. I don't know where they'd go but I guess I can see that. Adventureland, however, is full.

Seems to me you've got a whole island in the middle of Frontierland to expand onto. Not to mention the indian village area

Actuallly, I was talking about the area where the Indian village is now on the river, it can be seen from the Columbia or Mark Twain. There really is quite a bit of land back that way.

LOL at "swim with pooh!" But I would be happy with a water park. I'm not a SoCal resident, only a visitor. Both of WDW's water parks are great. I love their themes: each the exact opposite of the other. I don't like the Hundred Acre theme. No idea where the water park could go out there. Not sure about the "beach" theme. I hear people complain about DCA being a "California-theme" park in California. Are there enough real beaches people could go to instead? However, tieing it in with Paradise Pier might make sense. Where exactly are they thinking of building it (in reference to DL and DCA)? A tropical/pirate theme or a futuristic/jules verne theme or a winter/summer-land theme? Those I would like. I know its been said before but this could be that whole villians theme! Anything but a kiddie theme!

sounds like BS to me too, I was a life guard a water park for a while and the "swim wih pooh" pretty much applies to any water park.

Here is my responce to the responce... because no body is saying anything I might as well step up and provide a little argument...

1) How can they expect to fix a second gate when the tomorrowland isn't fixed? So a third gate is perfectly reasonable addition to fix the parks and actually attracet people to DCA... Particularly if it is the goal of Glendale to make the "California Resort" a multi-day resort, keeping travelers on property... To do this you need a) a third gate, b) "on property" value motels, and c) a vacation club expansion. This way corporate can say they added capital improvements to the theme parks... Of course, people think I am nuts even for makeing these suggestions...

2) Don't see why they shouldn't include nods to King Triton and Finding Nemo in the subs... All I care about is that the attraction is fixed... same goes with the Peoplemover/Rocket Rods which need to be fixed... I don't care how, just get it done.

3.There is a "dead zone" in Frontierland over by Big Thunder Ranch... If I was to work on an expansion of D-land, that is the first place I would go. The attempt to make it the "little patch of Heaven," which is somewhat pathetic is my case in point... The trouble is how do we make the frontier/western palatable to modern audiances?

Sheesh! There sure are a lot of upper eschelon Disney employees and/or Imagineers on these boards what with all the "That will never happen" and "There are no plans for that" posts. Unless some of you are non-salaried Disney executives how do know for sure that some of this stuff is not waiting in the wings at Glendale? Sure, the CM I talked too may not have been Matt Ouimet but when she talked of the water park and the subs she looked at a little girl who was standing next to me and said the "Hundred Acre Woods" and "Ariel" stuff so I would not want to think she was lying to a 4 yr old girl. :botox:
