  • [Question] The Disneyland Volcano?

So I'm browsing through my D23 (Donald Duck 75 years...) and on page 12 2nd picture down is one of the classic pieces of art, it's an arial view of Disneyland near the time of opening. (actually I would assume concept art) Anyways...

In Fantasyland I see a tiny little windmill/bucket ride, and a VOLCANO in place of where the Chicken of the Sea will be built. Anyone have any insite on that, or even a LARGER photo? Maybe I'm crazy!

Don't you know? The Mirage in Las Vegas stole it for their hotel. I thought EVERYBODY knew that. Sheesh!

But seriously...that is pretty cool to know. I wonder if anybody out there knows more information.

I couldn't even imagine what it was going to be. Are there any movies or cartoons that would have anything like that? I can't think of any.

THE MIRAGE! *ponder* I knew it! It all makes sense now.

          Re: The Disneyland Volcano?

I think my dad has a Disneyland map from a while ago (one you can hang on your wall) and if I remember right, it shows a volcano too. But I think it was in the lagoon where the subs are.
Wow...I've been gone a long time...but I'm glad to be back!!
