  • [Question] Things easily missed/not seen at DCA??

I have realized that there are some things in DCA that I have not seen or gone on just because they're kinda of out of sight, or in an area you don't think to explore...

For example, I have never seen "Golden Dreams" or "The Blue Sky Cellar", and only know about them cuz of what I've read on posts here. And "A Bugs Land" can be easily missed if your not looking for it. so now I'm curious what else i don't know about in DCA or if anyone else seems to have this problem...

Not gonna lie, but I never even knew (or cared, for that matter) that the entire Bugs Land where Flik's Flyers and stuff are even existed until last year. I always recommend the animation building - a lot of people I know don't go in there, but I love it.

In the Hollywood Pictures Backlot, next to the Off the Page store (which is next to the bathrooms, which are next to Playhouse Disney Live.)

It's Tough to be a Bug is easily missed but great fun.

Miner 49ers play near Grizzly River Run.

Disney Animation Building, there's Animation Academy, Turtle Talk, Sorcerer's Workshop, and Toy Story Zoetrope in Character Closeup.

Drawn to the Magic is a small show in Hollywood Backlot Stage.

Magic of Brother Bear in Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.

There's a "nature walk" through Grizzly.

A CARS meet n greet at Condor Flats.

I think there's also a book on DCA secrets.

There's a real rocket near Taste Pilot Grill on loan I think.

There's a Toy Story reference on the "box tunnel" to Bugs Land.

The "stick figure bug" hides in bamboo.

A bag of free tortillas for your B-day.

The hidden Mickey in TSMM. Along with other hints and tips to raise your score.

I've never been in that Winery place. Looks too fancy for me.

EDIT: In the Fly n Buy store in Condor Flats, there's a broken clock that tells the time Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier (or something like that. I'm sure the stores CMs there would know it best).

I too love the area behind Grizzly. My favorite area in DCA by far.

Although seeing all the mining materials and shaft theming just remind me of missed opportunities for DCA.

What is Golden Dreams? Does it go by another name? I can't find that in my info...

                  Thanks.

                    Thanks.
Golden Dreams was a film about the history of California in DCA, starring Whoopi Goldberg.

It was generally reviewed unfavorably, and has since closed to make way for the Little Mermaid Attraction.

It's an exhibit in the Animation Building. It uses figures from Toy Story, revolving on a disc, with special lighting, to demonstrate animation. And I agree, it is AMAZING!

Don't forget construction! Thats a great thing to see while at DCA. Just sit back in a bench and relax as you see the WoC show taking shape in front of your eyes.
