  • [Chat] When Ticket Prices Go Up, Does The AP B-Day Gift Card Value Go Up Too?

So as Darkbeer had reported a few weeks ago, ticket prices are expected to be raised in the next few weeks (if they hadn't already... I'm not keeping track)

As most of you know, when you are an Annual Passholder, you can redeem a Gift Card on your birthday for the face value of a single-park single-day ticket...

So with the ticket prices set to rise, will the value of the card go up as well? Or is that value locked in with the original value that the promotion started with?

    Thoughts? Ideas?

I'm hoping that the value of the gift card will go up since my birthday isn't until December.

Even though it also means when I renew my AP in October it will be more...

Well, it seems like they SHOULD raise the value of the gift card, but I bet they won't if they think they can get away with it.

Yes, ticket prices will go up this Monday, August 3rd...

And since the Birthday Fun Card is based on the value of a single day/single park ticket, yes it will go up in value as of Monday.

My Birthday is in November and I'm not blocked out so I will get the gift card. Glad it's going up. I will be using it toward my AP renewal (which is also up in Nov) and I'm moving back up to Deluxe. But I figure it will all be a wash anyway. Price goes up, AP goes up, gift card goes up - it's all the same.

I'll be picking up my gift card in October, and my AP doesn't expire until January.

Mine too, good thing about having your Birthday at the end of the year is that most likely if ticket prices go up, so does the value of the B0-Day Card.

                    Yes, that's good to hear.

So what is the "OFFICIAL" word about the B-Day gift card expiring?? By law, Gift Cards CAN NOT expire.

By California law, was to my understanding. Gift Cards issued in other states CAN have expiration dates, I thought?

Thank you for the heads up on the price increase. My Birthday is also in October. What website do you have to sign up on?

lets all play a guessing game on how much the ticket price single day would cost.

I would say 72 dollars. anyone else?
