  • [Question] Nightmare Before Chirstmas Overlay

So are they doing it this year? I thought I heard someone here say they were not going to do it this year because of the 40th anniversary of the Hunted Mansion.

Yep, they are STILL doing Haunted Mansion Holiday this year as part of the Halloween to Christmas season.

I wonder why Ghost mountain needs more time?

I would guess it's because it's the first they've done it. It's going to take a while longer to work out some stuff. As opposed to the hunted mansion they just put things where they need to go.

I feel like every year there is a rumor that they won't do HMH, but it's so popular now that I can't see them not doing it every year.

I'm especially glad this year because I'm taking several people to the park just after Thanksgiving and definitely wanted them to be able to ride HM with the overlay.

                      Yup.

I remember the first time I rode the overlay version. I mouth nearly dropped to the floor.

I couldn't understand how they basically would go about re-constructing a totally different ride every year.

I know, it seems like it takes them so little time! I mean, they really redo the attic scene, and they have to take out the whole keeper and dog and put in jack and zero, and put in a giant, real gingerbread house and stuff! I love the overlay.
