  • Disneyland Do's & Don'ts

This is a MiceChatters guide of what to definitely do and not do at Disneyland Park.

Here are the guidelines of the thread.

Please post something that you are recommending that MiceChatters should definitely "do" when they are at Disneyland.

    OR:

Please post something that you think should not be done at Disneyland.

Therefore it is the Disneyland Do's and Don'ts.

    I will begin.

Definitely try to arrive at Disneyland, early enough, so you can enter at opening time.

Do drink a lot of water. Sodas will dehydrate you. Drink water.

Cups of water are free at any to-go places like Coke Corner!

Don't drop your trash on the ground - use the trash cans!
          Good morning, son
          In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
          It was pain
          Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Do Follow the Marching Band. Sometimes they ride the Carousel or the Mark Twain and it's something that you'll always remember.

Don't stop in the middle of paths to figure out where you are, where you want to go, or even to take a picture. Move to the side and figure the rest out so as to not block traffic.

And if you do, the nurse will give you some for free! (I did that yesterday after the mouseketeer event)

If you have a few extra FastPasses for Splash and you just want to go home, give them to someone in the Standby line. Preferably to a family with children who can ride in the logs.

Do not buy souvenirs at the end of the day. You can buy them just about any time you want. Just tell the hubby to take them back to the car, and to go to ESPNZone for a few hours to catch up on the scores.

-If bringing your camera, remember to bring extra batteries/film/memory cards. You never know when a wonderful photo oppertunity may arise and it would be a shame if you couldn't capture that moment because you didn't have an extra shot.

-Know when to put away the camera. The park is meant to be enjoyed at a leisurely, meandering pace. [as if Micechatters didn't know this ]

-Space Mountain = Fast Pass, except within the first hour or so of the park's opening.

-Don't drink the Jungle Cruise water...

If you are an AP holder, do not act like you deserve anything more or extra than any other person in the park! :ap:

If your glasses break, go to first aid. They carry lots of extra parts.

You can score a couple of aspirin for free at First Aid if you have a headache.

If you're going to eat a burger or some other fast food and you are near Pizza Post or Rancho buy your drinks over there due to the free refills.

                              Well stated!

Also, DON'T scream in someone's ear when the lights go off in the Mansion.
