  • Halloween at Disneyland?

Hey everyone! My friends and I were trying to figure out what to do for Halloween this year. A lot of us have APs and go to Disneyland every few weeks together. We were considering going to Disneyland for Halloween this year, and was wondering if they do anything special. We love to dress up for Halloween and just have fun. Would it be worth going to Disneyland for Halloween? Can you dress up? Are there any special events? Thanks!

I think if people wear costumes into the park that will be viewed as a security problem.

D'oh, oh well. So it sounds like Halloween at Disneyland isn't worth it. Perhaps we could go back to West Hollywood again and look at all the crazies )

And yet another poor person realises that DL is dumb for not making a Halloween festival... =/ bummer

I think that was one major thing that I loved at WDW.. the fact that we could dress up and not get in trouble...

=( Would I get in trouble if I dressed up as an Orginization member from Kingdom Hearts?

Actually, the DCA event is not even on Halloween, its last day is Sunday the 30th.

Knott's will be offering Halloween Haunt on the 31st.

I wish Disneyland would do more for Halloween, but not some "Not So Scary" stuff like WDW. I mean, how about something a little actually scary, without being terrifying?

I think they should turn Mr. Toad into a scary ride for Halloween. During the day it will be normal, but at night it becomes so scary that only teens and adults are allowed to ride. It would honestly make perfect sense and all since you already go to hell.

                        Re: Halloween at Disneyland?

West Hollywood does turn out some pretty inventive and hilarious costumes. It's amazing - even straight people show up for this.

Unfortunately .. DL does practically nothing. Only the "Nightmare Before Christmas" overlay on the Haunted Mansion is the only "Halloween" treatment that will be seen in the park.

Years before .. they did "Mickey's Halloween Treat" ... It was scattering of a few things for kids. It was all cute and sweet. Nothing "scary" for us adults.

Now .. over at Knott's ... as Halloween Haunt is in full gear for a month ... that is the best with tons of mazes .. and classic rides with "Halloween" overlays on them (Calico Mine Train ride, Timbermountain Log Ride, etc). That's a lot of fun! Knott's actually goes all out .. with "goons" walking the streets .. fog machines along certain pathways .. colored lighting to give the streets an errie feel .. plenty of "theming" around .... It's awesome!

                          Mr. Toad's Scary Wild Ride...haha.

Well, anyway, despite my stupid name for it, that's a great idea!

I remember the calico mine ride and the log ride during halloween. I remember when I went they had a segment where the big bad wolf ate little red riding hood.

Of Course Disneyland can always rip on Knotts by having Mickey beat up snoopy and toss him into the pond that surrounds the castle ).
