  • [Question] The early morning walking tour of DCA

Not sure if this belongs in the main thread or under the Hotels forum, but I was curious if anyone here has gone on the pre-opening walking tour of DCA. I think it's available to guests of the Grand Californian Hotel but I'm not sure if other hotel guests can take advantage of this.

My wife and daughter are interested in going on this walking tour with me but we aren't sure what to expect. Has anybody here done it? Is it designed to speed-walk us into the ground or is there room for folks that move at a more leisurely pace?

I think it would be neat to walk around DCA when the park is mostly empty and get some good morning shots. Anybody that could give a thumbs up or thumbs down on this experience along with any anecdotes or details would be a big help!

    Thanks!
