  • Is soarin still in DCA?

    Hey chatters,

Did Disney take the original soarin out of DCA and put it in the Disney World Resort, or does Disney World just have a duplicate operating there? Will it return to DCA?

Walt Disney World's Soarin' is a clone of Disney California Adventure's Soarin' Over California. The only difference is the theming of the building and queue (DCA's in own building, WDW's in Epcot's The Land Pavilion) and the number of "theaters" each has...WDW has an extra theater for greater riders per hour. And, both DCA and WDW share the same film, even though California is like 3,000 miles from Florida...an amazing ride nonetheless. However, transitions between scenes could be better, but the music score is AWESOME.

On a sidenote, Epcot's Soarin' is themed like an Airport...it's quite cool.

        Now, WHY'S THE RUM GONE!?!?!

Yes it is open right now, so is WDW's...a clone, like the 11 Batman the Rides throughout the Six Flags chain.

I heard a rumor they attached wings to the Soarin' hangar along with 4 GE90 engines and flew it to Lake Buena Vista, FL.

For soem reason, everytime I think of the ride, I always think of that little disney channel robot called Tom Morrow.

                OK, everyone, be nice

I think of Tom Morrow too - I loved those commercials on the Disney Channel.

Remember When the imagineer commercials on Disney Channel use to be good? Now look at them! They really do not have anything to do with imagineering. They now have to do with friendships and stuff!

I agree, I really liked the old channel. If it didn't come for free, I wouldn't get it! They had some cool, creative stuff, but I guess as the company goes, so goes the channel.

I doubt Soarin' will leave DCA for a long long time. It's one of the few things that gets people into the park.

Is it really hard for Disney Channel to air stuff WE like? I mean why did they have to create a toon disney channel? All of the cartoons hould just be on THE disney channel. Their is no reason to create a seperate channel for the cartoons. The cartoons are Disney. It is like how MTV created MTV 2 to play music.

I am so with you on this, and I bet the majority of MC is too. I miss Vault Disney that used to show old classic shows like Zorro and the Mickey Mouse Club shortly after midnight.

1.) Soarin' at Epcot has two theaters, just like at DCA.
2.) Not all the Batman clones at Six Flags are B&M Inverts.
...a vaguely celtic music fills the air...
