  • [Question] A question for people who have been to the park in september,

    Hello,
I myself kinda find this hard to believe but with all of times I have been to the park, I have never been in the month of september, anyways,

I am going to be in the Anaheim area next weekend, and are thinking about going to Disneyland and I have a question, In general how are the crowds in September? I mean since its after labor day and the end of summer vacation for most if not all kids and families, and could kinda be considered "off season" but im just wondering.

    Thanks.

      Usually not bad
However, this week is the HM 40th party.
      I know we'll be there 8, 9 and 10 (9th being the party)
      Next week should be slower.
Also, Halloween starts Sept 25th (that weekend is usually busy)

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

This weekend is also the expo... so that might mean the parks be extra empty if everyone hits that up and not the park. who knows.

Sept usually is a nice time to go crowd wise. BUT, don't make a special trip without checking the refurb schedule. Your favorite ride may be out-out-service.

Not only is it slower at the parks, the weather is great. Tank top and short temps. It is really nice after dark it clears out pretty much and the noise level gows down as the lights come up. Very magical.

Re: A question for people who have been to the park in september,

Yeah, September really is one of the best times to go that's not during a Holiday Season. Most people are back to work and in school, there isn't a lot of tourism going on during September because everyone everywhere is back to work and school, so it's mostly just locals and there aren't many people at all. It's not too hot and and not too cold and the lines are usually great. Though, there isn't Fantasmic! or Fireworks every night like there is during Summer, so if you want to see that, you gotta wait till the weekend, when it will get a little more crowded than during the work week, but not too bad.
Words any Disney fan and especially Disney employee should live by:

"Disneyland is a work of love. We didn't go into Disneyland just with the idea of making money."
              -Walt Disney

"Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world."
              -Walt Disney

"I do not like to repeat successes, I like to go on to other things."
              -Walt Disney

"We did it, Disneyland, in the knowledge that most of the people I talked to thought it would be a financial disaster - closed and forgotten within the first year."
              -Walt Disney

"It's kind of fun to do the impossible."
              -Walt Disney

"I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse."
              -Walt Disney

We were there Yesterday and it wasn't crowded. Most of the E-Ticket rides were at least 20-30 min. wait but overall it was nice weather.
