[Rumor] Is MILF the worthy replacement to HISTA? Al rumors its coming

So in Al's report today he says the plan is to replace HISTA with Monsters Inc Laugh Floor ... either after EO happens or even if it doesn't.

What happens after EO runs its course later in 2010 is the real prize for WDI however, as the plan is for Captain EO to run for at least six or nine months and then close after the summer of 2010. The Magic Eye Theater would then be gutted and turned into a slightly re-tuned version of the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor attraction already found in WDW’s Tomorrowland.

So with all the hopes that HISTA would be replaced with a worthy successor, what do you all think?

Is it more Pixar Invasion?
Is it more 'tie-ins' are safe-in bets?
Is it TL is a completely lost cause now?

At least in MK there is a semblance of the 'city' theme where MILF is supposed to be supplying power. There is none of that connecting backstory in DL's TL.

They could put in a Vaudeville act in that theatre & it would be an upgrade over HISTA at this point.

MILF may not be the most exciting replacement, but like its Monsters Inc-themed counterpart in DCA, it'd be a heck of a lot better than what it's replacing.

Anyone find it kind of ironic that, if MILF does indeed come, now two terrible attractions @ DLR will have been replaced by Monsters Inc. themes?

They need to replace it with something but I don't think Monster Inc Laugh Floor will be a good choice. I love all the pixar stuff personally, because my kids love it. They really really need to RETHINK tomorrowland it is getting more and more off track.

MILF, lol, that takes me back to American Pie, haha, but anyways, I was hoping that this would never happen and I hope it doesnt, we already have two pixar attractions in Tomorrowland, and to put another, that would just be ridiculous, the Laugh Floor has truly nothing to do with the Future and would just make Tomorrowland all the more cartoonish. FNSV also has nothing to do with the future so when will this stop and at what point? Pretty soon, if they have their way, they might change tomorrowland to pixarland and no one wants that. Please Disney, think about this, there is no way to tie it into tomorrowland and three pixar attractions is just way too much for tomorrowland.

Frankly, I don't really care what goes in there as long as it's better than HISTA.

From what I've heard, MILF (snicker) is a pretty decent show, and with the promised upgrades, it will definitely be an improvement.

No! Monsters Inc. doesn't belong in Tomorrowland- it takes place in the present. That, and we don't need yet another cartoon (especially a Pixar one) taking over a space in Tomorrowland!

No. California Adventure, maybe, but I saw it at WDW and nothing like that fits in Tomorrowland.

It's a cute show - but I would love to see it in 3-D and with more physical aspects to the staging. If you did these things, you could end up with an environment that appears much more like a 'live' experience. Kind of like how in Nemo and Friends there is physical aspects with many smaller screens rather then one giant screen, etc.

Or if you combined it with lighting tricks, you could also make the projections appear to be more like holograms (projecting onto an unseen surface in front of another background). Certain parts of the set could be these screens, etc.

I think the Living Character Initiative is good, they just need to do more to make it feel less like you are sitting in front of a movie screen. By adding dimension to the sets, hidden screens, and 3-D I think you could have a kick-*** experience.

But that isn't what you get with MILF today. It's much more like ITTBAB just without the 3-D, and live instead of fixed.

As to all the jumping over MInc Laugh Floor's acronym... it's been coined that way for that for almost 2.5 years now. I would have hoped the giggles would have worn off by now

If they advertise it as 'The MILF Show', every guy on the planet will rush to see it! lol.

Seriously, as much as I like HISTA, (though I'm likely the only person who does), a suitable replacement is about due.

If MILF is done well, it could be a worthy replacement. Its origin makes no difference to me. What matters is whether I enjoy it or not.

As far as it being out of place in TL, in my opinion, I don't consider a particular land to be themed. For example, Pooh doesn't really fit the theme setting, but I think it's well placed. It caters to kids (young and old) who don't want to ride Splash Mountain. I don't like star tours or space mountain, so while everyone else is riding those, I's enjoying HISTA. And will most likely enjoy MILF as well.

Going into a building, being able to give my tired feet a rest, would be worth it anywhere in the whole park.

As much as I don't like HISTA, I really didn't care for MILF. I'm not sure if it is because it didn't belong in MK's Tland or what. I did see it in it's first few weeks, so maybe it's better now. But what is there reason for putting it there in Tomorrowland? Is it because the monsters kind of look like Aliens? Who knows.

Hopefully they wise up and do something with similar technology that actually fits the Tland theme. I wouldn't even mind a Stitch thing in there. At least he is an Alien from Space.

Actually, I'm not sure I like the idea of just bringing a show from WDW to DL. I'm kinda hoping for a new experience all together not a rehashed one with new effects. Doesn't look like my wish will happen though.

This is terrible news....I found the Laugh Floor the absolute low point in my last visit to WDW(lower than their bus sytem, lower than Typhoon Lagoons food service, even lower than Mission Space's Foot Odor Emporium & Daycare Center).

Terrible decision. For those that have seen MILF you know how corny it is. Same technology as Crush but less than half the charm. It's really time they just scrap the name "Tomorrowland". Now it's a joke what they'll crowbar into there.
