  • [Question] Can you see Tink and Dumbo from IASW?

I tried searching for this and couldn't find it.

Can you see Tink and Dumbo fly in Magical from the IASW viewing location? I assume the Main Street Station location is too far away, right?

We are going this weekend, and would like to have the chance to see them fly, if possible. We also would rather not have to be sitting waiting 2 hours ahead of time to get a spot.

    TIA for the info.

You can if you are by the Matterhorn.

No, but they do project film clips of them, along with many other characters and lights on the IASW building itself. It's a show all unto itself!

Very interesting I didn't know that. I'd love to check that out sometime but I'm not sure it could be the desire to watch from the front of the Castle. Anyone know of a YouTube clip showing this from IASW?

I've also never watched the fireworks from that side of the castle. I'll have to see what it is like.

The answer is no - the only way to see Tinkerbell or Dumbo is directly behind or directly in front of the castle.

^ Plus you can also stand right between the matterhorn and the castle as tink flies directly over your head!

I had no idea this was something to see! All these years I thought you couldnt get to IASW during the fireworks.

Even though all fireworks shows were designed to be watched from the castle, watching it from IASW is actually the front row seats in a sense. This is because IASW and Toontown is very close to the launching pad for the fireworks.

IASW sometimes stays open during the show if the wind directions don't blow the fallout towards the attraction. If it happens then both IASW and DLRR close for the show. DLRR's Tracks can also be hit with the fallout if the winds blow it towards IASW.

If IASW closes for the show, then they will close the area off (including the PFF, and Toyshop and the Toontown Station). But you can still see the show from there.

This is fantastic! Are there projections for every fireworks show?

RDCT's projections were pretty cool, I don't know about anything before that besides the christmas show. I actually prefer IASW viewing for the fireworks than anywhere on main street. Less crowds, super close to the fireworks, the audio is always nice and loud, and there's no mass exodus once the show is over. The only drawbacks are you miss out on tink/dumbo and any castle pyro. Plus, for magical and the christmas show, that area always had a ridiculous amount of confetti/snow pouring down on you!

My favorite spot to watch fireworks is between Village Haus and Dumbo You see the Pyro explode all around you and get to see some of the most view for Tinker and Dumbo
