What ride do you think is in most need of a refurb? What would this refurb intail and why? Would it be a regular fix-up, just fixing up the effects and such, or would it be adding more effects/other?

Pooh... or BLAB...
In both cases it would be a challenge because they present some of the biggest thematic breaks in their respective lands. I honestly believe that with the right combination of detail and storytelling both could actually work. I feel TDA just wanted said character in said area and WDI didn't bother trying to make it actually fit in. By redesigning them I would hope to demonstrate that the experience can be more then just the characters that are in it."Happiness is a Low Water Level"

I agree with you on BLAB. As fun as it is, if you dont play the game, it is a really cheap uninspired ride.

Small world - take out all the Disney characters they shoved into the ride (alice, nemo, stich etc)
POTC- remove any tie to the movie (the movie that didn't try to be like the ride)Quote by Al:
To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

I would vote for Big Thunder. The earthquake scene could be updated and they could add some effects to help tell the story of the haunted run away train. Maybe they could do a Halloween overlay next year?_____________________________________

I'm pretty sure I'll be yelled at this, but some of the animatronics in the Graveyard scene on HM need updating. specifically the ones that pop out from behind the headstones, it just don't work anymore.
BLAB- new guns, the new ones aim are horrible I've noticed.Last album uploads: pictures from the Alice in Wonderland exhibit, more still to be added
2nd Club 33 visit- Febuary '10! Yay for my sister's birthday.

Re: If You Were To Refurb One Attraction...
I'd choose Videopolis / Fantasyland Theater / Princess Fantasy Faire
This to me is the most underutilized and misused area.
When it first opened as a dance floor, that was a great idea. Fun and fresh.
When it turned into stage shows i.e. One Man's Dream, Beauty and the Beast, Dick Tracy, and eventually SNow White, this was also a great idea
Now its a glorified photo location.
Return to this area as a stage use
*These shows always attract crowds
*People like stage shows which are character or even the Walt based one
*They eat up a lot of bodies and people get to sit down which is an unsung Disneyland pasttime
*The shows are much more likely to stay fresh because they continually change as opposed to "rides" that get stale because of their permanence.
There's my refurb idea

Re: If You Were To Refurb One Attraction...
I'd have to say refurb Indy. So many effects don't work and it would be so great and breathe new life into an already amazing attraction if everything were brought up to tip top condition.
I'd have to put Fantasyland Theater as a close second as I would love to see that be an area for elaborate stage shows once again.
And while at it, why not find a great show for use in the Festival Arena?
Looks like I've well used up my quota of refurbishing one attraction, haha. Oh well...

Re: If You Were To Refurb One Attraction...
I'd like to refurb Pooh and make it more like the WDW attraction. Also, I don't think Indy needs a refurb. It's still a popular, fantastic ride, and many of the main effects work(snake, car, etc.). A thrill ride I think needs some attention is Big Thunder Mountain. I'd love to see them update the AAs. I love the animals on this ride, it'd be nice to see them with the newest technology. I'd also like to see some non-AA animals on this ride become AAs, like the coyotes or something.

Tom Sawyer Island:
Restore the waterfront facing NOS; islands don't have stages;
Restore the rockwork--all of it;
Boot the Pirates, and all vestiges of them;
Rebuild the fort as a proper 18th century log fortification (and don't forget the secret escape tunnel).

But yeah, I would like to see PotC go back to the original with no movie tie-ins, and I would also like to see upgraded AA throughout the whole ride.
Then again I would also like a PotC with MORE movie tie-ins. A more turbulent ride though... like going through the Maelstrom in a fight between the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman, plunging deep into Davy Jones' locker, have an encounter with the Kracken! I think that would be really cool! It'll never happen, but I still like the idea.

I totally agree...I think this is one ride that the story should be improved as well add elements that tell the story of how it got to be haunted"Your dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway." Walt Disney
